The internet we know today has gone through stages of evolution from the time of its inception to this era, where it continues to evolve in fascinating ways. When you read about the origins and birth of the internet, you come across names such as Vinton Cerf and Robert Kahn, who played vital roles in developing Transmission Control Protocol and Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), the computer language upon which other key developers built on to make the internet a possibility.

Now, at this stage, the World Wide Web, famously known as WWW came into existence and it began with Web 1, also referred to as read only.

Web 1.0
Web 1.0 was developed by a set of people creating web pages to provided readable information to users. It was the first example of global networking. It had some limitations that did not allow users participation rights. I t was basically information centered, read and get informed.

WEB 2.0
As the world advanced, so did technology and the web stage evolved to wed 2.0
Unlike the first emersion, this had a much wider scope and users were allowed to have engagements to some extent. This was /is also known as the participative social web and users have the added advantage of web 1 and web 2. Example of web 2.0 platforms include social networking sites such as Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Tik Tok and others. In all the advantages web 1.0 and web 2.0 may provide, they are very much CENTRALIZED. Mostly monopolized but big tech companies, in other words, actions carried out on these platforms are simply controlled.

Web 3.0
Web 3.0, third generation of the world wide web (www) and the only technology that is DECENTRALIZED, allowing the use of cryptocurrencies and blockchain iteration. It allows its users to own rights and control to their personal data. Web 3.0 again has an added advantage over the others in such a way that, it offers greater transparency. In comparison, web 2.0 tech companies are very secretive to how they monetize user data.

I cannot mention web 3 and not emphasize on hive blockchain, which is a typical example of web 3.0. This makes its easier to throw more light on the transparency feature of web 3.0 as users earn tradable tokens for their content, whereby there is no backdoor or hidden transactional deals.
Again, it gives space for customization and personalization of online interactions. There are also various dapps, especially on hive blockchain you can choose from and identify your niche.

Web 3.0 is the now and the reigning technology in the world of technologies.

I just like the decentralization that comes with Web3
There’s transparency, there’s security measures, there’s freedom.
There’s also so many opportunities…whew!
“I die here”

💪💪💪💪

Truly, we can’t talk about Web3 without talking about hive.
The advantage of Web 3 over other the others is a whole lot.
We will always be honored to have the opportunity to enjoy all of these advantages.

Web3 and hive has surely taking over and I'm glad to be a part of the decentralized web generation.
