Dad VS Boyfriend

Hello every one, I'll be sharing my own opinion on the above-mentioned topic. Basically, I think dads don't get along with their daughters boyfriends easily at first but get to fall in love with them in the long run because of what is happening in the world currently. You might be wondering what is happening in the world currently, but don't stress yourself out thinking about it so much. I'll give you the whole gist.

Current trend
Before now, people fell in love genuinely; everything was so true and real. The rate of fake love was quite low and not as common as it is right now.

But you see, today, almost everyone in love out there is up to something not too good. People lie in the face of love.

Everyone is looking out for what they will get from the other person, and once things go wrong, they change direction. People are being used instead of loved.

This brings me to a scene that played out just in front of me on a fateful evening.

My mum and I were inside the house when James (not his real name) came in. James was a guy in his late 20's who was serving in that locality. He was fond of calling my mom his mom, and he brought his fiancée to introduce her to my mom. The girl looked so pretty and innocent. I admired her at first sight. When he was done with the introduction, they chatted with us for a while, and the girl said she wanted to leave since it was getting late.

James saw her off and came back laughing. These were his words to my mom.

"Mummy you see that girl ehh, she done fall in love oo. And I go show her something. shebi their family dey claim holy people.

The father go dey raise shoulder sey e children nah virgins. I go chop this one run."

I was shocked.

Never been that shocked before. How will someone be that wicked?

I don't know how he ended the discussion with my mom because I went out.

Men know themselves better, and I think if a dad is being that tough, it's simple because he's trying to save his daughter. There is no doubt that he can't save them totally, but at least, to an extent, he can reduce the damage that should be done.

The moment he gets to understand who the guy truly is, he is open to loving them and making them his son. If care is not taken, he might be spending more time with the guy than his daughter, just to be sure that she will forever be in safe hands.

Dad's are actually amazing people. Always watching out for their families.

You are right. There are terrible people out there and one can't always know what their true intentions are. That's why dads are protective of their daughters, making it seem as if they don't get along with their daughters' boyfriends.

Exactly my point

You're right, it's just trying to protect his daughter and be sure that she in the right hand. Thanks for sharing

Thanks for stopping by 🙂

You are absolutely right in this era fake love is common and girls trapped very quickly in this fake love. They should trust their father the most

Everybody is just in for their benefits and it's so sad. Little wonder the rate at which people are used these days are something else

Good dads truly are amazing people.
It just so bad that our society of today consists of more animals than humans.
My honest opinion on this, most guys truly are not to be trusted. I believe it wouldn't be wrong to send my condolences to girls who fall victim in such hands.
And if you find a good guy, hold am tight. Because in this our current society, real men are rare gem❤

Real men are indeed rare gem. Almost everyone is catching cruise right now

The latter part is so true.
When he finds out he’s a good man,he even becomes so close to him than the daughter
It’s even the same with mothers sometimes 🤣

Ahh with mothers is the worst. They will over-do it
