Yesterday was yet another momentous day in Ghana as we witnessed the launch of the 9th borehole, constructed through the support of Hive. This marks a significant achievement under the Hive Empowers Communities Project, which we envisioned last year as a means to empower deprived communities using the power of Hive.

We are thrilled with the steady progress made and are delighted to have finally inaugurated the project yesterday. The project work has been demanding, starting from the first phase when work commenced, until the second phase, where we completed all construction works. Despite all the work demands, we managed to reach the final phase and celebrated with a beautiful ceremony in the town of Chanshegu.

The launch event commenced with prayers from the chief imam, followed by an announcement about the purpose of the gathering and then the spokesperson for chief of Chanshegu delivered his speech.

He started by expressing his immense joy and gratitude for Hive's generous act of reaching out to the community and providing the water facility free of charge. According to the chief, this was something they had never even dreamed of having in their community, and Hive had successfully addressed one of their major challenges.

He also expressed gratitude to the leaders and residents of Chanshegu for their support and urged them to ensure the proper maintenance of the project. The Hive team was then invited to introduce themselves to the community and share information about Hive and the project's vision.

This moment provided enlightenment and an opportunity to showcase the innovative solutions that the community is contributing through the Hive Empowers Communities Projects initiated here in Ghana. It also offered a chance to educate the community on how technology has made it possible for individuals to learn about ways they can bring about positive changes in their own lives and the lives of others.

Across all the project launches we have held, this aspect of the event has consistently been crucial, as it not only allows us to engage with the community but also empowers them to create transformative changes in their own lives. Following the introductory remarks and a brief address from the Hive team, was the unveiling of the new project, making it accessible to the community. This moment brought great joy, especially for the women who could now fetch water from the facility for the first time.

It was a moment filled with happiness and pride, as it showcased the impactful work that Hive has achieved. This event served as a testament to the true power of Hive and demonstrated how technology can bring about positive change. We collaborated with various media stations to ensure comprehensive coverage of the event, and through their diverse platforms, news about the project and the impact of Hive will be shared not only in the region but also across Ghana and beyond.
