Breaking Ground, Completing Drilling Process

in #hive-1768744 days ago

We are making good progress at the borehole construction site in Agric, a suburb of Gumani in Tamale as at today. This community has always struggled with water, so this project will relieve some pressing need of the people. After completing the survey of the site earlier our team arrived on site to continue the drilling. Each borehole site is carefully selected through detailed surveys.

This is so as to ensure that there is enough underground water and also that all under conditions remain favourable to ensure the projects sustainability. When the survey is properly done it guarantees that the water supply will last for years to come, and this in turn will help make a lasting impact on the community.

The drilling started early in the morning, and the team worked tirelessly to reach the depth of the ground. It was a meticulous process, as we needed to be certain the borehole would be fortified enough to last for a while and supply water. After hours of drilling they werr able to hit water. This was a great moment not only for the team but also because it meant they had chosen the right location.

Following the driling process will be the mechanization which is the next step is to install the pump and pipes to enable people fetch water with ease. The mechanization process will be completed with water testing to ensure it's free from impurities and it's safe for drinking. We are happy about the results, in the next few days clean water will be readily available for the community use and the risk of waterborne diseases will be drastically reduced.

Many families have had to trek long distances to draw water from unreliable sources but this borehole will solve this problem giving them water close to their homes. Women and children, who often spend hours to fetch water, will now have more time for school, work and other activities as well.

This initiative has benefitted immensely from funding and support from the Hive community, serving as an excellent use case for how the potential of blockchain technology translate to real-life to better lives. Every borehole constructed with Hive’s help demonstrates that decentralized communities have a real-world impact outside of a digital environment.

We look forward to sharing more updates about subsequent project work and any other development that may takr place. All of these would not have been achieved without the determined effort of the Hive community and with the milestone reached, we remain thankful to everyone to has given us their support.

Take your flowers 💐

Thanks for your kind words :)

Success in the work you are doing, it is good that the community has hard working men who are concerned about the welfare of all. Best regards.

Thanks for your kind words dear :)

Happy to see the construction of a new borehole :)

I am sure communities get their hopes high when they see you guys, you guys are doing things the government of many African countries have failed to do. Well done and a big shout out to you and the entire hiveghana team.
