The Hive Empowers Communities project is expanding making more impacts through the provision clean drinking water to more areas in need. Exciting developments are underway as the efforts are extended ones again in the Northern Part of Ghana. Already 3 boreholes have been constructed and the ongoing projects as annnouced earlier will add up to make six boreholes in the North.
We hope to keep up with the project that is changing lives each day in communities who have been in need of clean drinking water. Work began with a thorough survey to identify the best underground water sources. This phase work is always crucial which is why we dedicate much time and effort to it in order ensure project long term sustainability.
We excited to announce the commencement of phase 1 work which entails drilling and mechanization. Today we broke ground with the drilling work at Nanton Kpawumo Community. The sight of water gushing out while the drilling work was ongoing was such a great sight and a good sign; a sign that the efforts will bring much-needed clean water to the community.The drilling work is now completed.
This initial success means that we are on the right track to fulfilling our mission; a mission of making clean water free for those who needed them the most with the power of Hive. Following the drilling process is the mechanization, which involves installing pumps and thoroughly testing the water to ensure it’s safe to drink. This phase also includes necessary treatments to guarantee clean water.
Once completed, more water will be flushed out to get rid of all impurities, paving the way for a reliable supply of safe drinking water. This development is exciting and with the progress made we aim to complete this phase within a week if all things being equal. The engineers have demonstrated much dedication and efforts into ensuring that great results is achieved.
We're confident everything will go smoothly, work will be successful to help add up to the impacts made in the lives of many. These boreholes have been lifesavers for many, providing much-needed water on daily basis to communities that previously struggled with access. They have been possible with the support of @valueplan and the Hive community. The support have been instrumental in making this project a reality today which without it we couldn't have reach this far.
