Technology can make so much difference our lives especially in areas where there exist disparities. Even though our world is flat but there exist still mountains which means there are unevenly distribution of resources. Disparities do exist in all walks of life, be they for access to resources, opportunities, or information .
Technology is now a great tool that can empower lots of people transform their lives. I'm glad we had empowerment conferences early this year which was about power of the new internet, mainly Web3 technologies. The digital revolution afforded us by Web3 is a chance to really help solve these inequalities and further make equitable systems possible.
Web3, better referred to as the decentralized web, is built on blockchain technology. Contrary to the older version of the Internet and its many media platforms run by just a few gigantic companies, the vision of Web3 places all the power in the hands of users.
One can independently manage their data, money, and digital life without relying on intermediaries or giant organizations. For young people who are exploring digital technologies, DeFi and NFTs, self-governance of online communities is now a whole new world.
