My Journey on Hive: What I’ve Learnt

in #hive-176874last year

I can say I have learned a lot on Hive in just a month of joining this community. Learning as they say is a continuous process, I try to learn new things every day, no matter how small it is, it’s the gratification that comes with it that keeps me going. I have been able to discover things by joining various communities.

How to Post in the Right Community
I got to know that posting your work in the right community is necessary for your post to do well or meet like-minded people. You could create a very interesting content but posting it in the wrong community prevents it from reaching the right audience. I remember a day I wanted to make a post and I had intended to put it out on the thoughtful daily community, but after seeking counsel from my mentor here on Hive @ibbtammy, she suggested I put it out on ladies of Hive as the content would resonate better in that community, and truly it got more engagements there.

Using the correct Markdown styles
When I joined Hive at first, I didn’t know jack about all the editing styles that existed, I was just so eager to get my work out there but later I had to learn the correct markdown styles, how each of them worked, what they were used for and using them appropriately. Ever since I started learning about them and applying them my work now looks different and very presentable.

Joining Dreemport

I discovered Dreemport recently, I never knew it existed before, but once I discovered it, I couldn’t get enough of it. They come up with very interesting challenges that are stimulating and dreemers are just so wonderful, they tend to carry others especially newbies like me along. I even got to make some new cool friends there. The fact that they make engaging with one another’s posts easy and interesting is amazing and don’t get me started on the watering dreem tokens we get to earn there too😃

Writing Better
Prior to this time, I found it a bit difficult to write down my thoughts, I only just wrote memorable moments in my diary sometimes, not even always. I remember when I was about to join Hive, I kept asking myself what it was I knew that I wanted to write since I heard it was a platform that one has to engage so much in writing but upon getting here and going around the different communities, I discover that it wasn’t as difficult as I had thought. However, there are still some days where I have to think really hard to come up with something but all in all, I am not where I started, I have grown tremendously on Hive in my short stay here, if given the chance again I would still choose Hive over and again🥰🥰

As my friend would always advise me not to lose the Hive spirit, I also pray I don’t lose it soon because there are many wonderful things one can learn and get while exploring the streets of Hive because Hive is more than a social media platform or a blockchain, it’s a self-existing community.

Your post is nicely presented, Freda. You've done well in such a short time of getting the hang of both Hive and Dreemport, and working some magic with Markdown. It is so important to find the right communities for your content. You want to find like-minded people who will appreciate what you have to say on any given day. Isn't Dreemport just the best? 🤗💗 !LUV !ALIVE
