I was discussing with @acgalarza about passions, and I was a bit confused about what passion is all about and can't seem to find any. I wrote to him the same thing am about writing here, and that is "Recently I love Writing on Hive, I love engaging, I love Viewing, and I love participating in communities especially entries". Don't know if this is passion or not but I ask him "What do you think, is this a passion"? Honestly I am still confused about the response he gave.
Ok so I really have so much leisure time, of course If i ain't doing the house chores, and there's power supply i usually do watch some movies, but i really don't fancy this leisure mood as i find it a waste of time since am not impacting and training the mind, in any form.
If am not working, there is always something that keeps my mind energized, and that is Reading, i know its a bit skeptical, but i find it soothing as it brings out that mind control tactics in action. I usually love reading when I am all alone, no distractions, no noise, nobody around. I call this my alone time.
Reading books, especially ones that can teach the mind and develop one personally, is what I usually go for. Am not talking about Romance, or some kinda love story or tragic books… nah…… Am talking about strategies, knowledge, improving business, improving success, Impacting one's mind etc these are my kinda books
I Have tons of collections of books all pieced together, but unfortunately, most of my visitors always get interested in seeing them that way and ask they take one home to read. Maybe because I placed my collection of books at the side of the television shelf in the form of decoration, so it's usually noticeable, and can't resist the sight of anyone coming in.
The one I am currently reading now is titled " The seven habits of highly effective people, Powerful lessons in personal change" Written by Stephen R.Covey.
The main reason I Love reading this book is that it's all about tactics on how to adapt to change no matter what life throws at you, it also teaches How to take advantage of the wisdom and power of the opportunities that this change creates .
So far so good this book has been helpful for my personal growth, I now see events and circumstances in different views. Without crying or nagging about how things are going, I therefore change the approach of things by creating my own opportunities using the situation of things, whether good or bad. And this book taught me that strategy.
This is my response to one of the questions from the Hive Ghana Weekly engagement prompt WK8. Cheers! to the HiveGhana community for their lovely questions each week…
