Hello friends, Happy Wednesday and how's the week treating you?
It's week 19 of the @hiveghana weekly engagement. Do well to join here as there are many topics you can choose to write about.
Social media is filled with people with their own perspective of life, religious. We see a lot of quotes concerning education, marriage, relationships, and life. Some sayings are from older siblings, parents or elderly ones. I really love reading motivational books that concern life and finances. It reveals a lot of insight.
For me I have two favorite quotes that I love so much. I named it my quote of the year. Anyone I come in contact with or have a discussion with they often hear me say it and I also post it on my WhatsApp status frequently. I randomly saw the write up online earlier this year , which I can't remember again where exactly.
The quote says "IF YOU DON'T SAVE YOURSELF NOBODY IS COMING TO SAVE YOU" and the second one is " IF THEY WANT TO, THEY WILL". These two quotes stick in my head like ABC. It has really had a great effect in my life that has brought me an independent lifestyle.
The first quote made me realize that nobody is coming to help you achieve your goals or success. People just want to see the result and not the process of getting there. I hate when people say my uncle, aunt or friend didn't help with money. Everybody is facing one challenge or another they might not talk about. Everyone is fighting a demon you know nothing about. You shouldn't be mad at someone for not helping you.
Rather still sit, plan and execute in reaching your goals. And with God, hard work and consistency you will get there. Don't be dependent on people or expect them to help you because humans will always disappoint.
The second quote falls down to relationship and friendship. You should know when the friendship is forced and when to move on. People know what they are doing and who they want to do that for. You can't keep making excuses for someone who you clearly know is tired of a relationship.
These two quotes have really had a great impact in my life in general. It makes me more independent and hardworking as a woman. Never to force or beg someone for love.
Thank you for your reading
