Truthfully I have been seeing the good work that the community is doing in helping the general public thus spreading the news about #hive and web3.
I havejoin this community for a long time now though i have not been able to make a post in it deu to some circumstances that is above me .
But when i saw the topics that is out for people to write on i picked interest,and the one that interest me the most is the topic that said 👇
LESSONS LEARNED IN 2023
i so much love this topic as they was a lot of lessons i have learn in this 2023 but i will only share one of ir in this post.
As a building contractor i always have many clients and each of them have a peculiar character,some are hot temperd, others always said what they can do while still others have it in their minds
Well that's human for you.
So as one who serve the public I always know how to follow each one so that we can have a good atmosphere while working.
One day I met this man who happened to be a prince but live inanother country.
Through the social media he sent to me all that he want me to add in his building especially on the side of decorations.
So i get ro work ,but before me others touched the work and abandoned it for one reason or the other and once the owner is not around there is practically nothing that hecan do to them some may even eat his money and run away without delivery the job.
Through the contact give to him by a friend of mine he now called me and after bargaining fo the price we agreed on something.
COMMENCING THE WORK
The moment i started working other clients started calling me and there is no way i can say no to them since rhis are rhe people that i have been working for all this time wnd what am going ro do for rhem is so small compared to the one am doing for him
So i plan it very well on how ro swap it ,i will work for this one today tomorrow I will work for the next one since the job i do involves moulding and fixing.
After some time he started complaining that i have delayed him infact that he is no longer comfortable with the wok am doing.
HIS REASON
That i havw stayed to long and he made it clear to me that if i failed to round it at a given time that he is going to delay my payment.
Afrer a week i finished the job and called him at first he refused to take my call but when i persist he picked it up and told me that there is no money with him now that i have to wait for a week at rhe expiration of that one week i called him again .
ANOTHER STORY
He now told me that the exchange rate is too high that i have to wait till he came back in a week time again
Remember he have been sending money across all this while .
This is three months now and he is still coming back
Remember that many have made away with his money and others gave him higher price
But u stayed till the end ro make sure i deliver the job now tell me where i go wrong or what I didn't do right.
IN CONCLUSION
i have learn something from what happened it's said that honesty always pay but judging from what happened am beginning to see it in a different angle .
It's like honest do hurt this time , because had it been that when the first payment was made i touched the work and go like others this wouldn't be happening.
In all i promise my self not to go back in being honest to people no matter what they do.
Someday i believe that I will reap the reward that honesty paid.
