Loving conditionally helps to avoid the following;
Over excitement
Over expectations
Emotional damage
Suicide. Lolz
I prefer conditional love because of this factors and I will shade more light on them.
Over excitement:
Most people become overjoyed when someone they have been hitting on for a long time finally agrees to be with them. They start fantasizing about how the relationship will go before it even starts, which is very bad because you have not even been with the person for long and you've not even understood the person.
This need me to the second aspect.
Over expectations
When your excitement takes over, you will start to expect much from someone without the person's knowledge and it is very wrong or will I say sad because the person might have a different plan from yours and when the person go contrary to your expectations you may feel betrayed and even heart broken because things didn't go as planned.
Emotional damage
If you have experienced heart break before you will understand how disappointing and painful it is to loose someone you truly invested your time, effort and love in,this drives some person's mad and make them do crazy things like committing suicide and even decided not to have anything to do with the opposite sex which may lead them to lesbianism or gay. This is what emotional damage can cause and that is why I don't love unconditionally.
Suicide
Like I said above, heart break can make you do crazy things and we can see the rate of suicide is
rapidly in our society because of heartbreak (emotional damage).
This is why I prefer to love conditionally because of this factors if your partner loves you unconditionally and you don't reciprocate, you make the person feel foolish and when you leave the person automatically becomes broken. Think also include married couples, that's why it is good to marry someone who you love and who also loves you in return.
So to avoid been heart broken and emotionally damage that will lead me to commit suicide I don't love unconditionally,I just follow tide and see where it leads.
From past experience I try as much as possible not to put in all my heart into loving to avoid heartbreak..
A girl I once love unconditionally broke my heart and it gave me a big blow that it took me time to recover from and ever since I just understand that we are humans and our actions are unpredictable, so I have decided to just flow with the tide, Gone are the Days when breakup hits me, now I just say ok and move on to the next person lol.
