I now go to @hive.ghana's page for my weekly dose of writing prompt. The team in charge of putting up the weekly prompt is doing really well in that regard. For this week's edition, the question below is one I would like to explore;
Comparing yourself to who you were a year ago, would you say you have grown? If yes, in what ways?
I've got to be real and say that I'm already at the stage in my life where my thoughts about growth are mostly tied to my financial growth. I always find myself trying to compare my finances today with what it was yesterday and what it could possibly be in the coming days.
Sadly, my finances haven't experienced any sort of growth this year. It all started when I ran into some financial issues in January. Imagine walking into a New Year with huge plans only for your finances to experience a dip that's above 75%.
Yeah!
That's exactly what happened!
My finance dipped by more than 75%, and it hasn't been a good experience to face that. Trust me... If it was within my power, I wouldn't have allowed myself to experience that. However, that's the reality and I had to face it.
This whole year has been one of exploration for me. I've tried to learn so much about so many things. I've also been working on building brands that I hope to monetize in the future. I've always been very interested in learning about new ways to improve my earnings. However, the dip in my finances forced me to fast pace that process.
Have I grown?
Sure!
I'm no longer the person I used to be a year ago. I've grown in so many ways. I learned a lot about Web3 and Blockchain within the last couple of months. Learning that made me realize that what I thought I knew wasn't enough. Even at this moment, there's still so much I need to learn.
While on this learning experience, I experienced a hack that could have ruined the reputation I've been building. Thankfully, it didn't get to that. I also learn so much from that hack. Now, I smell scammers and hackers from afar and I make sure I don't get victimized again.
While it's obvious to me that I'm growing and getting better each year, I still can't sit back and relax because I know there are more things I need to get right.
Thanks For Not Missing Any Full-stop or Comma.
