hope you having a great weekend. Today I am writing on one of the hive Ghana weekly engagement topics , which is about secrets .
One way or the other we all have secrets, it could either be someone’s secret you are are keeping or your own it might even be a secret of another person who isn’t even aware . When I say everybody has secrets trust me it is true 😂. It could be you are the always stealing meat from the pot,the one always eating the bread in the fridge, you are the one always farting in class or you sniff your undies lol. It could be anything .Secrets might be silly , funny, dangerous, traumatic or wierd .
Personally I do not like to share with people very personal stuff unless you have earned my trust. Even with that it depends on the person. Because i do not want wahala oo 😂
Sometimes a secret might be better of not being shared and sometimes too it might be better to share . Because secrets can eat you from the inside. sometimes too secrets can put you in a very hot position and the burden of the secret would weigh you down . Also confiding in someone might lift a weight of your shoulder but you might also end up putting the person in a difficult situation or face the risk of your secret being spread around , which is horrifying.
Now assuming a loved one confides in me , but the secret could damage someone I care about . Now this could put me in very difficult position because I do not want to a backstabber or a bigmouth also once trust is broken it is hard to get it back and on the other hand I can not watch someone I care about get destroyed knowing very well the reason. This puts me in the middle and a very delicate situation.
I soo much want to tell the person I care about but I can’t go behind my loved one. This is a dilemma 🥲
As the saying goes something’s are better off unsaid
I would keep the secret and not go behind my loved one’s back but I will advise my loved one to tell the person I care about , because I believe it is not my place to tell the person I care about
I do not what your thoughts are . Tell me what you would have done instead if you were in that shoes. Would you snitch or not ?
