Gratitude

A hymn of praise by Johnson Oatman Jr is one of the hymns I loved so much. A verse says:

When upon life’s billows you are tempest-tossed,
When you are discouraged, thinking all is lost,
Count your many blessings, name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord has done.
Refrain:
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
Count your blessings, see what God has done!
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
Count your many blessings, see what God has done

In any phase of life that I might encounter, it is so true that I cannot count God's blessings at all because it's uncountable

Since my conception till now, I've received countless blessings from God Almighty that I can't name all. Whether big or small, I can never thank God enough for all He has done in my life, being alive and healthy is the greatest gift one can receive as a human and I'm so grateful for the gift of life.

There are lots of things I'm grateful for but today, I will be sharing just two blessings in my life that I am grateful for at the moment.

Firstly, I'm grateful that I'm a living being. I thank God for the gift of life and divine protection. Who are mine not to be grateful for the breath of life I received without paying a dime, the mere fact that I have sound health is worth thanking God for.

Also, going to and fro to my work place safely is worth glorifying God for because it hasn't been easy. Traveling on Nigeria roads nowadays is like walking into the lion's den, the rate at which bandits attack travelers on the road is now alarming.

The road I journey through to the village I work is one of the deadly route in my state but to the glory of God, I've been going to and fro with record of no attack on my way for the past 3 years. It has been the grace of God all through and I'm not taking this for granted.

Secondly, I'm grateful for the lives of my younger ones, both of them (male & female) were called up for NYSC (national service in Nigeria) in year 2023. And as I write this post, both of them had completed the national service and are safely back home hale and healthy. Throughout their one year national service, they aren't involved in any unpleasant situations and we never hear any bad news from them.

The Almighty has been faithful to my family and I can never thank Him enough for thus far He had helped and still helping us. Now myself and three siblings are graduates while I'm hoping for a better placement soonest for the recent graduates of my family by God's grace.

It has been God all the way and all my gratitude goes to Him for He is ever faithful and ever sure. I can't count all my blessings because they are uncountable.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!
