Sometimes last year, I was in between two different weathers as I shovel between different states in the Northern part of Nigeria. Everyone in my country knows how tedious the weather over there can be.
Early January, I had travelled there and had experienced the coldest weather of my life. It was terrifying as well as exciting, I get to wear the thick clothes I wouldn't wear on a normal day. On getting to this particular state, I realized this was more than I expected. The cold weather was after my life.
I travelled to another state and the heat there was second to none. And then I wondered, who did these people offend. The cold is extreme and the heat is topnotch. Early this year, I came back to Lagos only to be welcomed by the suffocating heat.
I complain of heat at every chance I get and my Lagos people will say there is no heat. The weather is normal. "You're used to the cold weather in your village (the North) that's why our weather here is strange.
Not until later, the heat spread and it feels like the gate of hell was opened. Someone said, "it looks like the Angel in charge of hell forgot to close the gate". It was funny but it is actually not funny. The weather came with sickness as everyone keep having from rashes to measles, from sore throat to chest pain, catarrh and cough, constant headache and sleepless nights. It was terrible.
Cold or hot weather, I've always be conscious of my health as I understand how expensive drugs are besides it's not candy, who enjoy taking those chalks? Definitely not me. Lol
I will share with you healthy tips that has been keeping me up both in the North and in the Western part of Nigeria. Who knows, you might decide to change locations to either of these places.
Firstly, be hydrated. I've always been a water advocate and I choose water over every other drink in the world. The health benefits is incomparable. I always have my bottle of water everywhere I go. Just like MTN. Lol

Eat healthy fruits and vegetables. I can't remember the last time I had blood tonic but as a blood donor, I donate blood every year. I went as far as incorporating veggies in all my food which earned me a name from my friends. I won't tell the name. hehehe

It's either hot bath or cold bath, know your body system. I love to shower and I love water. Who doesn't? lol. But I know when and how to use my water. No, I don't use robb during cold weather, and of course I moisturize a lot.
Know when to wear particular dresses. Lagos is a place you'll see people on hoodies when the weather is hot. It's funny how people can be sweating profusely and still wear hoodie. And when the weather is cold, they put on knee length pants and short dresses. I laugh when I see those dressings. Individual choices of course.
Eat healthy foods and cut down on junks. Besides, it saves me money when I cut down Junks. I'm more of a foodie, so junks doesn't work for me.
Sleep well. No matter what you do in life or how you do it, never joke with your sleep. Infact, choose good food and sleep over everything and everyone in your life.
Lastly, mind your business. Minding one's business is a therapy you don't have to pay for. It elongates the lifespan and keep one happy.
Remember, health is wealth.
I hope you find these tips helpful and I hope it works for you. See you next time.
