As a living being, we learn, relearn and unlearn everyday and everywhere, the only time we stop learning is when we are lowered down beneath the earth.
Anyone who feel he knows everything knows nothing.
By learning, we should be able to adjust to changes and take correction and observation in every ramifications and place we fine ourselves.
Following hive ghana week prompt, I'm thrilled to put into writing what I learned and thought that was correct and real not until now that I relearn that and believe in the real things,
Years back, in my early age as a student, I learned that something I had always believed to be true was actually incorrect, fake, and superstitious when I was in high school. I had always believed that success in academics was solely determined by intelligence and natural talent.
I thought that if someone was not naturally gifted in a particular subject, they would never excel in it no matter how hard they tried. However, during my sophomore year, I had a classmate who struggled with mathematics. She was not naturally inclined towards numbers and often found it difficult to grasp the concepts.
Despite her efforts, she consistently received low grades in math. This challenged my belief that intelligence alone determined success.
One day, our math teacher introduced a new teaching method that focused on problem-solving strategies and critical thinking rather than relying solely on memorization. This approach allowed students to understand the underlying principles and apply them to different scenarios.
Surprisingly, my classmate started to show significant improvement in her math skills.I was amazed to see her progress and realized that my previous belief was incorrect. It was not just about innate intelligence, but also about the willingness to learn, adapt, and apply different strategies.
This experience taught me the importance of perseverance, open-mindedness, and the willingness to challenge my own beliefs.Since then, I have adopted a growth mindset, understanding that learning is a continuous process, and success is not limited to natural abilities alone.
This realization has motivated me to approach new challenges with a positive attitude, knowing that with dedication and the right approach, I can overcome any preconceived limitations and continue to grow.
I wish all of you good luck in your day's endeavor
