What is happening, why all of these? You might be asking. It is the fact that I wore uniforms(school uniform) from creche to primary schools from primary school, to secondary school and now in the university it is mandatory for us to wear uniforms everyday we have classes. The funny thing here is that from creche up till the university is one colour(blue) but different shade of blue, did I mention white? Yes always white and blue but different shades of blue.
Like I said before I'm not against uniform wearing in secondary school or schools in general, if you ask me I would say it is the best option present, became it helps kids to be responsible, responsible how? Except for the one who their parents do their laundry for, when a child has just two uniforms common sense would tell the child that he or she has to be neat everyday and that is by washing and ironing their uniforms but in a process whereby they are allowed to wear whatever they choose they may come out look…..
My second point is
IDENTITY
Yes Identity, when you see men or women on black trousers, shirt and beret you would know that is a police officer, same way you see someone with a camour you would know that person is in the army. So a child wearing a school uniform helps to identify which school that child is attending, so I don't see anything wrong with it.
Third point is
ACCOUNTABILITY
Growing up in my secondary school days there was this orange three close to my school and there were three other schools close to my school, some notorious kids would sneak out during school hours to go pluck oranges and it always turns out that kids from other schools are also present so the owner of the yards brings all the students he's able to lay his hands on and then bring them to our school and my principle would say these are my students the others are not. So when next you want to misbehave and you're putting on your school uniform you wouldn't want to because at that moment your are being accountable to your school.
Finally, like I said before there is this beauty and aura that comes with being dressed in uniform 🤗. So with all these being said I hope I have been able to convince and not confuse you that uniform wearing in school is the right thing to do and it should be upheld with discipline.
