The first by Catherynne M. Valente which reads; “You can’t have whatever you want. But to a child who must ask permission for everything, adulthood looks like a constant parade of desire’s satisfaction. It is heady and terrifying place. It is the otherworld. It is fairyland. In fantasy, we make this literal”
For the second found it while surfing the net and it reads, "how adulthood is basically trying each 5 password you use for everything and complaining that you’re tried."

Adulthood is most definitely hard, you are constantly using your brain I wonder why mine hasn't fried yet, so yes I'm also a member of adulthood is hard association.😂
The difficult challenges that comes with it, the constant worry of what's next cause there is always a next to everything you’re doing and if there isn't one then you’re in big trouble, compared to a child who have people to do the important thinking for them.
The bills most especially, you can be having a great day full with joy and all then you remember the light bill you've not paid or you gas finishing soon. Then you're going on about how you salary can't carry the bills suddenly whatever you are doing becomes irrelevant, you're now scrolling through the internet looking for added income opportunities.
At work you have to remain valuable to your employer or you run a business and you're thinking on the next big cash out plan, trying to stay on top.
My number one issue with adulthood is the responsibility, I don't want to be responsible for myself I want to blame someone for once but being a true adult means everything is in your hand. whether you eat well , sleep comfortably, wear nice cloth are all up to your effort not minding all the other factors that are not within your control it all boils down to you like why though.
But overcoming the big challenges and impossible yet possible responsibilities as an adult sometime boils down to your support system. For me most times when I’m overburden with worry and not knowing what to do next, knowing I have someone to run to, complain to is a big flex.
Finding balance for work, improving your skills to stay valuable and on top helps to.
For personal life, find balance for you expenses, be involved more, and be social to avoid depression. Nothing get better by just sitting but working on it can make it less difficult.
