A raw talent

Hi everyone and welcome to my blog.
This community never ceases to amaze me with amazing topics every week, and this week is no exception.
So on this one, I will be writing about that one skill I have and how it has helped me, and also if I would like to teach people.

To start with, A skill is an ability to do something well, and it is something you learn and practice often because they say practice makes perfect.
So for me, the skill I have at hand is hair styling. If you see the title I gave this post is The Raw Talent, why I gave it that title is because I didn’t learn how to make hair like other people do and it not like I wouldn’t want to go and learn it I’m thinking of signing up for those training class so I can learn more because I cannot know everything, and I still have default in some things.

So this picture shows the hair I was making for my niece because she’s the first person I made hair for when I got home from school. And the fact that her hair is not complete, like it is not full and she does not have front hair, I just had to make something for her anyhow.

And here is one of my cousins who made her hair. I must say when I first saw their hair I was scared and I was like God will I be able to finish this hair like this because her hair was too full, everything was complete, but we started the hair, and one thing is that I did not cut the lines big as I wanted to but despite the size I cut it the hair still won’t finish. But thank God I was able to finish it and we took that picture at night after we were done making the hair.

And this is a picture of my mom and my other cousin's final look at their hair. My cousin's hair was very short, but I knew that no matter how, I needed to find a way to pick it else she wouldn't let me rest. It was nice making their hair for them, and during this period that I was making their hair mine was rough but that didn’t bother me all I just knew was that I needed to finish their hair. It wasn’t in one day, but I completed it.

Speaking of how hairdressing has helped me despite I’m not a professional, there was a time I needed money for subscription, and as at that time I was broke so I was just at home, then my neighbor came to call me and told me that I should help him make his daughter's hair, I just did it without any intention of collecting money, but when I was done he gave me money and I was so happy because I was able to use the money to buy data of 2.5 GB which was 500 naira at that time.
So I will say it helps me get little money to do petty stuff. But I know I’m still going to grow more in it.

In the aspect of teaching others about it, I will say I’m a very good teacher, and if anyone wants to learn why won’t I teach them, first thing first I need to learn more about it because now not everyone likes making hair, most people go for wigs nowadays and that’s where I want to put my focus on now. Which is how to make the wig itself and how to install it.

Thanks for reading my post❤️

You’re welcome

It's amazing to have being able to learn this without a tutor. Just you've already said @pearlsuddy, you sincerely need to enhance yourself more on that skill of your. People do better on things they are naturally gifted with. And in your own case, I think you are naturally gifted with that. It was nice coming across your post @pearlsuddy, you are obviously a wonderful personality😊

Baby girl congratulations
