I am quin Lizzy and I welcome you to my blog and I will be talking about campus life in hive ghana.As a student of federal university lafia,my admission actually came late as such their was not enough time to make preparation for a suitable accommodation judging from the distance.
Life in school is one of the best thing in life,the experience,the new environment, people around lot's more.Personally my experience during accommodation was not so bad cause a had a cool roommate.
let me take you through my journey.
After being granted admission my Dad made arrangement for me to go meet my aunty,also a student of fulafia in her final year as of now she's already a graduate.He had his reasons cause he wanted me to be under someone who could care for me and since she also related to us it was a good one.She was my mom younger sister.
So many other things came with this accommodation but another thing I was so happy about was that my classmates from secondary school were also in thesame lodge, compound to be precise.One of the thing that happened during my stay was that,everyone knows grown up like feeling bossy around and the certainly need their respect as a result I had to hide to her instruction which I really would not say I had love them, for example stopping what you are doing to serve her.
Another experience about the accommodation was lack of water,their is actually a borehole and a well but there is no water.So we will have to buy a gallon of water which cause two hundred naira each,how many gallons would you buy just to last you a day,for bathing,cooking and washing.This was a lot of expenses and it did not stop here.You would have to go in search of water if the supplier missed a day,the distance to get water and hold it on your head isn't really funny,or you can just stay home for the day which means not attending class.
Let's now talk about the distance, it's far from school,if you have a early morning lecture as early as 7 am,you would have to wake up by 5 am in other to prepare,so that you can get your ride and reach on time,and because of the nature of the environment getting a ride that early is another problem on it's on.sometimes we start using our legs while looking for a ride,this would lead us to going late or not sitting down cause everywhere would be filled up to the brim by the time we arrive.
This was the experience I had with my accomodation,even though I faced this,there was security and my lodge members were also nice.I would prefer staying off campus cause staying in campus,there would not be privacy and health wise to talk about the rest room and hygiene.
Life in university is a lot full of experience and I hope to experience more in order to learn more about life.
