Let me start by welcoming all newbies to the hive blockchain. The blockchain is a place to have fun, learn and interact with other people.
In everything we do, the beginning is always the hardest part but then if you don’t start, how do you become a professional?
I remember when I first joined the hive blockchain in a day, I could create about 3 posts a day and end up getting nothing. But I never gave up, I kept going now I can see some improvement in my post.
There are a few things as a newbie on Hive you should always take note of.
First is your level of engagement, the hive blockchain is all about engaging. As other users engage in your post, it is also advisable to engage in other people’s posts. On the hive blockchain, you get recognized based on how you engage with other users on the blockchain. You can always comment on other people’s posts, and reply to people that commented on your posts. Engagement defines your level of seriousness on the blockchain.
The second key factor is the use of tags, I have been a victim before for using the wrong tags on a correct post. It is always advisable to adhere to rules of engagement especially if it’s a contest. Tags help people easily find your post for curation. We sometimes see people write a good content post in the blockchain but the tag used does match with the post. For example, if a user writes a post educating users on how to use a fax machine but at the end of the post, he or she uses the leofinance tag as his first tag, it won’t get the correct response as to if he had used the hive learners tag. Leofinance is about financial-related activities whiles hive learners is about teaching and learning new skills from others. This is why as a newbie the use of a correct tag is always advisable.
Last but not the least is building your hive accounts, with all the points listed above, this is one of the most important ones amongst them all. Most of us join the hive blockchain because of the financial issues we face. But it is also advisable that as a newbie, your main focus should be on building your accounts on the blockchain rather than cashing out the little you get. One can only build upon his accounts by powering up, it is not compulsory to always power up but in other to get recognition and also send a signal to other members of your level of seriousness on the blockchain it is advisable to do so, you can decide to always divide your payout into either 50/50 or 40/60 which means you are powering up either 50% or your payout or maybe 40% of your payout either way you choose, it’s your choice. Building accounts it’s very important on the blockchain.
No member on the hive blockchain started as a pro, we all started as beginners so I encourage you to keep pushing, don’t give up hope because you are getting there soon.
I wish all beginners a fruitful stay on the hive blockchain and thank you for visiting my blog.
