Talking about my favorite decentralized App, I can’t mention any other than Ecency. Probably because it’s the only front end I’ve used since I joined hive. But it hasn’t also given me any reason to go find another.
I can’t still remember the day I downloaded it, I felt so relieved since I had been using only hive blog for everything.
But why Ecency?
Personally, I do not like browsing on the web. With everything I do, I always to prefer to have an app version of it. I can’t explain but it just feels better that way.
The interface generally look very appealing to me.
Everything you need is just a tap away. I like the fact that it easily allows to yo switch between your posts and wallet without redirecting you to another link. (throwing a little shade on hive blog😂)
Ecency rewards you for your engagement on the platform by giving you points that can be used to boost your post . These rewards serve as a source of motivation to do more.
It also has this leaderboard to help you see how much of engagement you are doing and who is doing less or more than you.
I sometimes use it as a form of motivation. I just keep engaging to see my rank increase then I feel I’ve done good engagement for the day.
Another favorite thing is that you are able to schedule your posts.
Sometimes you might do it making a post at a time which you feel wouldn’t be best to put it out. So you can quickly schedule it, put your phone away and engage yourself in whatever knowing very well it will be posted without any extra effort and at the time you want.
One other things is the notifications letting you know when your favorite author has posted new content. I was always worried about missing out on what certain people post and I had to constantly go to their pages to see if there’s any updates but after adding them to my favorites, I get a notification anytime they post.
I can go on about ecency’s features but I believe this is convincing enough.
