MAINTAINING AND ENHANCING MY MENTAL AND PHYSICAL LIFE

It was on a sunny Sunday, I went out to the market to get a few things to cook with, I was standing in front of the ugwu(pumpkin leaves) seller and suddenly began feeling dizzy, the whole ground was spinning around me and what I could do at that moment was to hold onto something and just find a way to sit down.

I sat for some minutes hoping to regain my self but unfortunately the situation was getting worse, so I just concluded to take a bike home.

I got a bike that took me home and upon getting to my destination, I alighted, as I took a step forward, the next thing was that I saw myself on the floor,.

I heard my neighbors scream and came to my rescue, though I didn't pass out, just that I was dizzy that I couldn't walk without having to fall down.

I was lifted from the ground and was given a cup of water to drink and was asked if I have had something to eat and my response was no.

Hmmm, that was the problem, through out the morning, up until that time, I had not eaten anything and that has been a routine for a couple of weeks coming.

Eating in the morning is important to the physical well-being of an individual.

Skipping breakfast repeatedly can cause harm to an individual, hence it is necessary to eat as at when due to avoid hypoglycemia(low blood sugar) which can lead to dizziness, fatigue, blurred vision and Palpitations.

It is quite important to take good care of our physical health as weakness/ or even sickness can impede our daily activities and cause us loose out on opportunities in life.

Tips I adhere to, so as to stay physically healthy:

I eat healthy and as at when due.
I drink a lot of water.
I exercise (do not live a sedentary life)
I check up with the doctor if there is any health concern.

Talking about mental health, it is a state of mental well-being that enables people to cope with the stresses of life, work well and contribute to their community.

I Keep a healthy mental health through;

Avoiding stress triggers such as anxiety, I do not worry about what I cannot control.

Staying away from relationships (friendships) that triggers stress( pressure)

I stay Joyful.

I am contented with what I have per time even as I strive to achieve my goals in life .
