Gift giving is meant to be an act of love and care but it has come under some scrutiny of late. If you watched “The Big Bang Theory”, you would probably side with Sheldon’s theory of gift giving. Sheldon had this non gift giving policy because giving the right gift troubled him so much.
One thing almost all men will agree with here is that our ladies usually do not gift us men what we would like. They almost all the time buy us boxer shorts and singlets. I don’t if that is what happens everywhere but from my part of the world that is what happens.
Gift giving
Before I continue let me just remind @abenad she owes me a car and @nhaji01 owes me a jet. Your boy has got needs babies hehe. In my opinion, it is not difficult to please or get a get a guy a good gift. Most of us men love watches and shoes. I have always maintained that if you want to give a good gift, forget about food. I very much prefer to gift and to be gifted stuff that will be with me for long. Gift someone food say on their birthday, they forget the gift once the food is finished.
However, if you gift a shirt or something other than food, it stays with the recipient for quite some time. Us guys just want to be loved and appreciated. After all, it’s the thought that counts but it is written nowhere that time after time, you should gift men boxers. Like was there a meeting where all women agreed on boxers?
Someone reminded me that guy’s clothes are expensive and though that is true, there can be substitutes to boxers. Hand bracelets, caps, sun glasses, some watches, perfumes and a whole variety of other things can be gifted. If you want to go very big for that guy friend or boyfriend, brother or father you love, pS5 is a good gift. But only if he is a gamer.
Simple gifts to give men
Sometimes it can be difficult to gift a guy because even we don’t really know what we want but if you really listen, you can find out things even we do not know we like. You can ask the recipient what he would like but for me, I would not tell you what to gift me because I would very much appreciate a surprise. Because of that I don’t really ask people what they want as gifts. If I see something I think you would like, I just get it for you.
That said, try to surprise guys and don’t be one way. Do not let your guy think every year they are getting boxers and at the end of the day, they get exactly that. You can buy boxers for guys on different days but not on special gift giving occasions. Be unique, be different and stay away from boxers ladies. Don’t let us guys start gifting you underwear every year as well.
