It was a day like any other when he received the mysterious news: his old friend and renowned poet, Thomas, had passed away.

Despite years of no contact, the sudden departure of his colleague plunged him into a deep reflection on the fragility of life.

While sorting through some belongings, he found an old notebook with unpublished poems by Thomas.

Leafing through its yellowed pages, he felt a shiver run down his spine. One of the verses read: “I will throw a bottle into the sea so that someone will know that one day I existed”.

Later that night, he could not sleep. The cryptic line echoed in his mind like a coded message.

Had Thomas left more than just words? He rummaged through every nook and cranny of his apartment until he came across a small, sealed glass bottle.

With trembling hands, she opened it to discover an envelope with a note: “The last poem is hidden where we used to meet. Find it before it's too late.” He then understood the magnitude of the mystery before his eyes.

The next morning, he set out on a journey to the old café where his group of poets used to congregate years ago. After a strenuous search, he finally spotted a small secret compartment under a table.

There lay a worn parchment with Thomas's final verses, a harrowing confession of his impending end.

At that instant, he burst into disconsolate tears. His friend had defied death with one last poetic act, confident that his work would live on even after he was gone.

Now, he was on a mission to share those prescient words with the world, so that the name of Thomas, the fateful poet, would continue to echo eternally.
