How effective is the sneaky tactics in little league ruleset

Hello Splinter nerds

I often use the sneaky strategy in 80 percent of battles that have the Little League rule, for those not familiar with this rule, it is a rule in which only monsters with 4 mana or less can be used in the battle.

I willingly shared my secret above because splinter lands have been remodeled and you can't know who you are paired with in rank battles until the battle starts, so am safe in rank but not in tournaments cos your opponent's name is written boldly before you guys play.

Why do I love to use the sneaky monsters in Little League

Once upon a time, I was always for magic monsters in Little League but time changed and strong monsters with void, magic reflect, silence, and amplify abilities were introduced to splinter lands which makes using magic monsters look like sentencing yourself to death because you could lose half your team just by attacking the opponent team so one also need to improvise, hence Magic was no longer the way but melee attackers can do the work and since melee can't attack from any position like the magic cards, had to settle for those with the sneaky ability and they work great!

I had a battle with Digital-wisdom in 3 rules combo including Little League, the other two rules were:

  • Weak magic: Magic monsters hit armor before reducing health which makes it even more difficult to win with magic cards

  • Silenced Summoner: Summoners do not grant any stat buffs or debuffs nor do they grant any abilities to monsters.

The opponent and I came with two sneaky monsters but our defense and supporting monsters were different. I will admit he was playing safe which I will explain below.

My formation

Antoid Platoon

Antoid was my tank, it fit the ruleset as it has armor and the opponent's magic monsters can't penetrate its health, it also has a shield that protects him from the opponent's melee and range attackers, and lastly is the scavenger ability which increases his health with every demise of any monsters in either team.. The opponent used Chaos rear guard as his tank which is also a strong monster with shield and armor, My tank received hits from 3 out of the 6 monsters used by the opponent but it was not fatal enough to take him down.

Gobalano soldier & Night stalker

These were my two sneaky monsters, both with special abilities, the gobalano has Ambush which makes him attack even before round 1 starts and he also has Shatter which destroys any armor in my way while night stalker, is a game changer with his execute and blast ability, I was able to eliminate two of the opponent monsters with the execution ability... The opponent's sneaky monsters were fast but unfortunately suffered a fatal thorn attack from my defense which made their hit unproductive and led to the death of his Pelacor bandit and weakened his Uraeus

Clockwork Aide

Without knowing what the opponent would use, I needed my monsters to be speedy and also be able to carry out a clean attack without a barrier and that is where Clockwork becomes useful with its swiftness ability that gives +1 speed to all monsters in my team and rust removes the armor of all the enemy units by 2.

Doctor Blight

Just in case the opponent tries to act funny by using a healer or heal tank, Doctor Blight's affliction and poison abilities will do justice and that was exactly what happened, The blight stopped his tank from healing! it also poisoned the tank which made it die quickly

Venari Heatsmith

I rarely used Venari Heatsmith in battle but in this particular battle, I was just so certain the opponent would use a sneaky monster and Venari has the thorn and amplify abilities which did great damage back to melee monsters that attack it if only the opponent had known I would use it, he won't dare come with sneaky cards... I was able to deal with the two sneaky monsters used by the opponent with venari which increases my chance of winning.

The Doctor blight was a dark horse, although the sneak cards stole the show, the poison was such a weapon

yea that affliction ruined the healing energy of the opponent
