Speed matters on splinter lands

Hello splinter nerds

At first i was loving the energy bar thing but now not so sure because of the leaderboard, once you exhaust your energy it is over because buying is not profitable in anyway.... Imagine buying energy for 500 dec, play 1 battle and earn sps not worth 500 dec and to make it worst, you might even lose the battle...

I think the reason why sl introduced the energy rate is to stop people from farming too many sps and it is already telling on players earning because my earnings also reduce drastically...

Amidst everything [bot rampage, earnings reduction] , i still love playing splinterlands!! it has been 5 years now that have been playing this amazing play 2 earn game and i can say none beat it for me...

I had a battle today and it is funny how one monster can be a game changer.... Splinter lands is more about speed as the one who attack first have a higher chance of eliminating the opponent first and become the last standing....

The Ash mirage was the game changer in this battle, he was the monster with the highest speed and also the first to attack and eliminate one of the opponent strong attacker which put him at a disadvantage because i also use that same strong attacker and mine was still alive to wreck havoc...

I use the mirage often because of its speed and amazing abilities, especially the reflection shield as i use that to take cover when i am expecting blast from the opponent....

He is not just blessed with the reflection shield, it also possess one more ability which is the Headwinds which reduce the range attack of all the opponent monsters... but in this particular battle, all monsters lose their ability so that was not activated....

We were given three rules:

  • Explosive weaponry: All the monsters have the blast ability...

  • Back to Basics All monsters lose their ability and in this case have to depend on only the stats of the summoner...

  • Keep your distance: Melee attackers can not be used in this battles, who cares about melee monsters in back to basics rules anway, they are not useful since they can't really attack from the rear position..

I was not surprised that we used the same summoner, in such battle rule set that blast is given, we need a summoner that can spread our attacks and conqueror jacek is the best option....

We also used 4 similar monsters though we placed them at different positions, another difference was that he used his last 14 mana to choose supply runner and countess sinach but i prefer almo cambio and ash mirage instead....

He lost the battle due to my monsters having higher speed, i took down most of his monsters before they could even attack me, so speed really matters on splinterlands...
