It's a beautiful Sunday morning, the last in the month of October and a clear indication that we are about to end the month and begin another new month of November. Gradually, we are going to be two months away from 2023, a brand new year. Just like yesterday we started the year 2022 and in a matter of time it will be gone. However, even though the year will end we should endeavor to put a lasting impact that will be remembered in years to come.
The reflection for today in church reminds of us the need to be steadfast in everything we do and we should not give up when we are tired but when we have achieved success in what we set our mind to do. We are urged to be persistent and determined no considering the obstacles that we face on the journey to our goals. These challenges will definitely come but we should not allow them to win over us.
As the year is running out there is the need to be more focused on your goal. Yes, two months is still a long time to get so many things done and it is as well enough time to get nothing done. Perhaps, there are certain goals you want to achieve since the start of the year and it is looking difficult to achieve you may have to take some drastic measures which may include ghosting the people that have been some sort of distraction to you.
Sometimes, it may be helpful to stay away from friends that are not adding value to your life. This may be the best decision that you will make for yourself that will make you smile in months or years to come. Similarly, when you observe that your group of friends are too competitive to the extent that they are not happy when one member of the group progresses, then you should know that it may be difficult to be successful in such environment. And if you are lucky to be successful they'd bring you down with jealousy and envy - so, beware of your environment.
On a final note, "òòrùn tó kù lókè tó aṣọ ọ́ gbẹ" (The remaining sunlight is still good enough to dry the clothes). In other words, keep your fire burning and don't be discouraged until you achieve all your set goals.
