Happy weekend to all splinterlands lovers, for a long time I did not play splinterlands.
I played splinterlands in 2024, and I'm going to talk about one of the monsters I used most because of the advantages. The name of the monster is Djin Oshannus; not only Djinn Oshannus but many more monsters. But, Djinn Oshannus is the first.
Djinn Oshannus can be used in any battle: it depends if it is available or not. the moment is available, I don't hesitate to use it. This is because I knew the importance of Djinn Oshannus in battles.
Djinn Oshannus can Be used in any position: I have used Djinn Oshannus in many positions. Whenever I use Helios Matriarch, I love to use Djinn Oshannus in the first position because of its forcefield.
Forcefield is good when opponents use monsters with heavy attacks. There was a day when I was paired up with an opponent that used monsters with more than 5 attacks. My thought was that I have lost the battle already because The Kraken I used in first position was damaged with just three attacks from the opponent's monsters. By the time Kraken was eliminated, Djinn Oshannus led the battle and I skipped the battle. To my surprise, I won the battle; by the time I replayed the battle, I realized it was too difficult for the opponent's monsters to eliminate Djinn Oshannus due to forcefield and phase ability.
Though, at the end, it was eliminated; but it was toward the end of the battle; when I had already destroyed his 4 or 5 monsters.
When only magic monsters are given in battles, I love to use Djinn Oshannus in the first position because of its void ability which reduces the damage done by magic monsters. Though, in some cases I do use Venari Marksrat to increase Djinn Oshannus abilities just like the battle I shared below.
Djinn Oshannus is best to use along with other magic monsters when only basic rule is given: There were circumstances when supersneak were added to basic rule: any monsters can be used in this kind of battle. If it is only a basic rule, my best choice of monsters is magic monsters because they attack in any position.
The reason I preferred Djinn Oshannus in this rule is because of its speed and health. that is the reason I often use it in first position because it would attack faster before it is eliminated.
Though none of Djinn Oshannus' abilities are effective, its health makes it longer before being eliminated.
Djinn Oshannus' Speed is spectacular: We all know that 90 percent of splinterlands supported high speed monsters; and Djinn Oshannus is one of the monsters with high speed in splinterlands. This speed makes Djinn Oshannus inevitable in some battles.
I Used Djinn Oshannus In 90% Of My Battles While Using Water Summoners
The only reason I didn't use Djinn Oshannus was when it wasn't available for the battles. This is because I trust the monster very much!
There were battles where I used Djinn Oshannus and my opponent used level 3 of Quora Towershead, of which we know that Quora Towershead is one of the deadliest bloodlust monsters.
At the last round, Djinn Oshannus and Merdaali Guardian remained in my lineup while only Quora Towershead was left in my opponent's lineup; I thought I had lost the battle, fortunately, I won the battle.

I have tried it several times to use Djinn Oshannus several times when reverse speed is given. I only won 50% of the battle- which simply means not all reverse speed a player can use Djinn Oshannus. There were players who used Djinn Oshannus against me, and I defeated them. t

One of the ways to boost Djinn Oshannus is to use Venari Marksrat beside it; and exactly that was what I did. I placed Vanari Marksrat in front of the Djinn Oshannus. You could see that the moment venari marksrat was eliminated, the stats of Djinn Oshannus increased by +1- magic attack, health, armor and speed.

Placing Venari Marksrat at the front of Djinn Oshannus was a bait to defeat my opponent. For me, Djinn Oshannus was the real monster in the front. Due to high speed, Djinn Oshannus was the overall third monster to attack, and first monster to attack in my lineup.
If not because of the summoner that my opponent used in this battle, Djinn Oshannus would have been the first monster to attack.
This is one of the reasons I love to to use Djinn Oshannus, it was very difficult to eliminate by opponent monsters- the void ability reduced the damage done by magic monsters from the opponent. In fact, a magic monsters missed the attack due to the phase ability of Djinn Oshannus.
By the second round, Djinn Oshannus was the first monster to attack, which simply means without the use of Helios Matriach, Djinn Oshannus would have the first monster to attack.
Nerissa Tridawn

Health: 10
Armor: 2
Attack: Magic
Mana: 9
The only reason I used this monster was the magic ability
One of the water monsters with highest magic attack. By the time Nerissa Tridawn attacked the first monster in my opponent's lineup, Drybone barbarian could not survive the second round, it was eliminated at the begining of first round.
The moment Drybone barbarian was eliminated at the begining of second round, I was so sure of my victory.
Merdaali Guardian
Splinter: Water
Level: ⭐⭐
Ability: Tank Heal
Speed: 2
Health: 3
Armor: 2
Attack: None
Mana: 3
The tank heal ability was very important to heal and without the tank heal, Djinn Oshannus would have be destroyed. The important of Merdaali Guardian was crystal clear in this battle.
Venari Wavesmith
Splinter: Water
Level: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Ability: Protect
Speed: 3
Health: 4
Armor: 2
Attack: Magic
Mana: 5
The two reasons I selected Venari Wavesmith was the protect and the magic attack. This was the reason it was difficult for melee and range attack monsters to attack the health directly, untill armor was destroyed.
Doctor Blight

Ability: Affliction, Camouflage and poison
Speed: 1
Health: 4
Armor 2
Attack: Magic
Mana:
I used Doctor Blight incase there was a monster with healing ability of tank heal. Those kinds of monsters make it difficult in battles.
If there was no Doctor Blight in my lineup, Drybone Barbarian would have attacked Djinn Oshannus, it would have been eliminated in this battle.
The presence of Doctor Blight was so good because it afflicted and poison some monsters in this battle.
