I want to use this medium to greet all great Hivers. How has been your day so far, hope you are all doing good? I'm positive minded that it's all well and fine.
In every sphere of feeding in the Poultry farming, there are periods or times that this feeding does really counts. Poultry farming is all about feeding, feeding, feeding and feeding. Nothing more matters. In the beginning of this narration, I mentioned about how feeding does has period and time that its really counts. When you feed your birds as a farmer, what is expected of the birds as a farmer is for them to be growing bigger in weights and sizes.
What's feeding efficiency?
Before I go further with my explanation, feeding efficiency is the amount of feeds given to a set of Broiler birds with the expected amount of weights to be gained within a set period of time. So as a Farmer, how do you know the feeding efficiency of feeding your birds? The feeding efficiency of birds tarry from their day old to their six weeks with the guarantee of the male birds weighing 4kg while the female ones weighing 3.2kg or less using 30 bags on 150 birds as an example. That's how efficient the feeding can be within that period of time.
Now on the other hand, do you know that 150 birds can feed on 10 bags conveniently from six weeks to seven weeks with just little add up on their weight. You can just imagine male birds on 4kg in six weeks adding up on 0.6kg within one week in between six weeks to seven weeks while they are consuming more feeds. That's when the feeding is no longer efficient. They feed more while they add up lesser volume of weight.
