It's Monday at 8 a.m. Every working day, my regular pattern would be to wake up, freshen up, and go to work, and by the weekend, I'm already too exhausted for a social life.
Sitting on my bed, I tell myself that all I want is to be unique, to be different from the others around me. Being born, going to school, then university, starting a modest business, marrying, having four children, and being fully conformist has never appealed to me.
What I truly want is to become a superhuman and make a difference in history. That's the kind of life I'm looking for. I'd like to be myself, but in superhuman form. All of my eccentricities and habits would remain, but with a new side that inspires people to be better. My alarm goes off, and I have less than 40 minutes to get ready and get to work before 9 a.m. I grab my orange towel and drape it over my neck, creating a cape. As I gazed into the bathroom mirror, I smiled and turned on the water heater.
Brushing my teeth carefully in circular motion, I think about the superhero I'd like to be. Everyone has a favorite; mine is a tie between Captain Marvel and Dr. Strange, and I believe everyone has fantasized about being one of them at some point. I'm sure I have. I murmur as I swish water down my throat and spit it into the sink basin. I'm wondering much more now that I'm using floss. Of course, this is in contrast to Captain Marvel, who possesses heightened strength, stamina, flight, and virtually absolute immunity to toxins and poisons, as well as her seventh sense, which provides glimpses into the future. Unfortunately, most of the abilities that I am interested in, particularly the capacity to bend space, shape shift, control the elements, and manipulate time, have been taken.
So, after much thought as I pick up the brow twizzer and begin to trim the excess hair at the arches. I've decided that **I WANT TO BE A CREATIVITY HERO**, with creative super powers. This is something I think will come handy as a superhero. My ability to imagine anything and, by meditating on it, make it a reality. These superhero abilities would include not only visual art but also problem-solving. For instance, the crypto industry is experiencing a massive drop. I can utilize my creative abilities to correct or manipulate the numbers and get it pumping again. If a hive account is hacked, I can solve that in seconds, create a code to easily track down the culprit and refund stolen assets to their rightful owners. The world is in disarray, and there is war. I have the ability to use my superpowers to bring about world peace by creatively resolving the matters through proper dialog such that both parties are satisfied. I could make art, like a safe haven, and have people retreat inside it for protection. Heck, I create an entirely new world.
It maybe too perfect,
I reason outloud to myself. My powers would have to have a flaw. for instance, perhaps I can only keep my powers for a limited length of time when activated, or perhaps what drains me is when a villain begins to create more problems, and as a result, people cease being imaginative. Because my powers are fed by and become stronger as a result of their imaginations. I'd have to have a backstory, of course. I'd have to explain how I discovered my abilities. You don't just wake up one day and realize you're built of superhero material. Perhaps it's late at night and I'm alone in the studio. Maybe I trip and fall on my color palette, which has some bizarre chemical qualities, and my skin absorbs it. Then mutates and awakens my sixth senses and other abilities, allowing me to be creative. Yes, that's silly, yet it could be the case.
I would use my super hero abilities to assist people based on their specific needs.
All they have to do is call my name.
I said outloud again as I enter the shower and turn it on while pondering the right name.
what should i be called now? Creatzilla? oh nah! that's too cheesy.
Done having my bath, I step out the shower while using a towel to pat myself dry and head to my walk-in closet,
or do i just let the people decide what to call me?
Standing in front of the dressing mirror, wearing my brown knee-length leather boots and adjusting my leather jump-jacket over the cowl neck floral mini-gown. To me, the major reason I want to have creative powers is because I relate to it, and the world right now desperately needs some creative power. Being a creative superhero will allow me to express myself freely, and I will undoubtedly make history. Life is a puzzle, and difficulties must be solved.
Aha! Captain-Starr
as I smile and clench both fist, bend my left hand while streching the right hand up to create the super-hero pose.
I giggle, pick up my black laptop back-pack, phone and car keys on top of the reading table and off to work I go. I guess today will be the best day to put my newfound powers to the test by creatively answering to my boss as to why i'm over an hour late for work.
