Yes, Guys being Single has its perks as well as downsides so today I will be talking about the Downsides of being Single in India. Many Families in India like for their children to get married as early as possible and I am not just talking about Girls as Boys also face similar pressure. I will say that Boys face this pressure a tad bit on the lower side as he needs to be Financially Stable before Marriage but the fact remains that Being Single sucks at a Societal Level here in India and there are a lot more Negative Aspects to being Single that I will be detailing out right now.

The first Aspect as I discussed earlier is SOCIAL PRESSURE where almost everyone in your life starting from your Parents and all the way to your friends and family starts to ask you why you are Single and if you have any Future plans or not to get Married and carry out your Legacy. Yeah, stuff like this really Amps up the Pressure in our Lives and I can say this as I am 31 and I am just getting Married so I know this pressure all too well.

The Next Aspect is the Dating Aspect where in India Dating is kind of Stigmatised by almost the entire Society and even if we Date someone we have to keep it on a low profile as Society deems it as Bad. In my case, I never did say anything to my parents about my relationship for the entirety of my Relationship but I only told my Mom after our Breakup and yeah I got an earful from her as expected.

The Next point would be the availability of Housing. Yes, you heard that right it is kind of a hassle to get an Apartment on Rent when you are a Single Bachelor as a lot of people don't prefer Single Bachelors in their homes and even if some allow it there are very very strict guidelines to follow. Currently, I am staying in a Beautiful apartment with two Rooms, one Kitchen, and one Bathroom truth be told it really was a hassle to get this Apartment, partly because there are also some female tenants on the ground floor so they weren't amped about getting a Single Boy on the top floor. Fortunately, I was convincing enough and since my Brother and Sister in Law stay just a couple of Buildings down I was able to get this Apartment on Rent but as usual, the Hassle is real.

So the conclusion is that Being Single in India is not without its downsides as there are a bunch of things you have to go through just to get a damn Apartment on Rent and many more.
