We've got loads of conspiracy theories around us that listening to them will literally blow your mind, and to make it intriguing, it'll be funny to know that some people believe some of these conspiracy theories. I remember a few years back when a reputable Nigerian came out with a conspiracy theory that our then president was dead and the person ruling us was another man from Sudan or a clone of him. It's quite surprising that many people believe this and how it made waves back then. Just like that one, we've got many other conspiracy theories around the world, and today I'd like to tell you about one that I think I kind of believe despite how crazy it sounds.
Talking about conspiracy theories, I'm a big fan of listening to and watching programs that are dedicated to those aspects of life on television, and while watching such programs, I've come to learn about many conspiracy theories, take, for instance, the Mandela effect, which was related to the situation of the then president of South Africa, Nelson Mandela, and how different people remember the event of his death differently despite being there physically; it indicates and suggests that we're in a parallel universe or a timeline shift, which leads to the difference in memory.
Another one of those conspiracy theories is how it's alleged that Area 51 in the USA houses aliens and alien technology. It's quite surprising that people really believe this ideology, also the one about big pharma and cures, which is related to a conspiracy theory on how it's alleged that some big organizations in the pharmaceutical industry have discovered cures for diseases such as cancer, HIV and AIDS, hepatitis, and the like, and yet, hold on to that knowledge or refuse to release it to the general public so they can maintain the privilege to acquire more profit from treating people and getting paid from these deadly diseases.
And it's worth noting that this particular conspiracy theory is one that I find hard to believe because humans can be complicated to understand sometimes, and the things they do just to become rich and continually make money, sometimes when you find out, can be so alarming that you'll stand in awe at the length they'll go to make sure they'll be in power; the same has been seen in the way African leaders treat their citizens, so they'll continually look up to them for help, despite the fact that the soil of their land is blessed with precious minerals that can make everyone rich. You'll see the government doing little, so the people will be poor and look up to them for every single basic need.
Another conspiracy theory I kind of believe in a way in the simulation hypothesis, that state or belief that we humans are in a simulation. I kind of had this conviction that our world is more of like an advanced computer simulation created by an advanced futuristic being or race that, after creating us, sits back, relaxes, and watches us unfold the different attributes they've pre-installed or set in our program. What made this even more convincing is how we ourselves as humans are creating a realistic simulation that's now found to be entertaining as we watch our creation unfold, showcasing our intelligence and the beauty and satisfaction that comes from watching your creations become a masterpiece.
I just can't help but find some sense in the ideal of us being like a character in the video game we ourselves now create. What if someone somewhere also created us and gave us the free will to do things our own way, just like we create a video game and give NPCs different traits, characters, and purposes to fulfill, since that's more or less how our own lives unfold on a daily basis from childhood to adulthood?
Given the little innovation we've had in technology improvements and what we've created with it, I believe we kind of possess the attitude of those who create our own simulation, and that's why we also yearn to do the same, and in the nearest future, I won't be shocked to see humans create a robotic humanoid simulation or a video game that the NPC possesses free will to do things, and we sit back, relax, and watch them explore different things in their own world, and that's why I have a kind of conviction that we ourselves are in a simulation even though it kind of sounds ridiculous to the ears.
And I think this theory is backed up by different notable occurrences we witnessed, such as déjà vu, which I've had on several occasions, the concept of fate, and glitches in reality, just like what we've seen in the case of Mandela that led to the Mandela effect. Overall, it might sound crazy or wild, but then I can't help but entertain the thought of what if it's true, and if so, who's the one being the simulation of our world? Is it God, a supernatural being like some religious beliefs, or just an advanced civilization from another realm?
