I have recently been going through a series of unexpected events that cause these moments of tension.

Cycling can indeed be a good way to clear your mind to release stress.
For instance I find it very nice to cycle back home after a stressful day at work.
But cycling isn't the solution for all mental issues. Sometimes it's necessary to share your issues with others and if it's serious even with a psychiatrist.

I hope you will deal with your tensions.
