Great tutorial! I've done some maintenance on my derailler before, but I only disassembled the cage and cleaned the small gears.
Great tip to take photographs of every step.
I even had difficulties with putting the chain back through the derailler the first time I removed my chain.
I don't know of I will go thisnfar since I find it really difficult to adjust the gears with the little screws. Somehow when I mess with those I end op not being able to go to my lowest or highest gear or end up with a noisy bicycle 😅
But maybe I should give it another try sometime.

The photo tip comes from countless times forgetting how things go back together 🤣🤣 We've all been there, I guess.

Those are tricky. I can make a tutorial when I fit the derailleur onto the monstercross -- video would be better.

One tip if you wanna remove them and put at the exact same location is to paint the threads with some nail paint to mark how much you should thread them.

Can not wait 🔥

Me neither!
That nail paint tip is very nice too.
I do use the same sort of tip when adjusting the saddle, but then with tape.

Same! Btw I also use a piece of inner tube covering the saddle clamp to waterproof the seat tube.

On Tuesday I'm gonna visit a friend machinist to finally make the last machined bits for the monstercross. I'm seriously thinking about buying one of those chinese mini lathe.. that would bring the content to a whole new level over here
