This is post number 29 in the #cyclingcommunity, and this week I did get a surprise - not necessarily good, but a surprise anyways....
On the Green bike we got 0.0 miles / kilometers and I will explain that shortly. So first let's get to the Black bike miles / kilometers,
So for this week -
The Black bike:
This Monday at 70.211 miles / 112.99 kilometers
An increase of,
24.785 miles / 39.88 kilometers
And,
The Green bike:

This Monday at 14.330 miles / 23.06 kilometers
An increase of,
0.0 miles / 0.0 kilometers
So this puts the weekly total at,
24.785 miles / 39.88 kilometers (total) for the week as well.
This puts the total for 2025 at,
84.541 miles / 136.055 kilometers so far this year!
So now the Green bike story...
Well, as unbelievable as it sounds...
I inflated the tires and put the bike on the porch. I lock d the door and turned around and "BAM"! My neighbors came out and asked about the gunshots!
Well, the bike has pretty new tires - about 9 months old and just under 300 miles and.... The bead split at the tire, then the tube exploded and shot "Slime" everywhere! Since they are good till 65 psi 4.482 bars and I had them at 60 psi 4.137 bars, and they weren't dry rotted - they must have been defective in some way. I am happy it happened here and not out a few miles like last time! I am also replacing the tires and tubes this week and switching brands. First "Slime" tubes are "worthless" and maybe Mitas tires as well so we are going "Kenda" and stop fooling around! I hooe to be back on the road before next weeks post!
