After completing basic education. My parents thought the best thing for me was to change school. Although I liked it there who was I to complain, my former school was close to my house but the school they changed me to was far from where I stayed. At then I didn’t have a bike so all they did was pick me up on a motorbike whenever I was ready and drop me off the most difficult part of it was waiting for them to come to pick me up after school, by then all my friends will be long gone and I will be left alone in the school. I used to like the idea of them sending me to school at least I wouldn’t be late.. lol but then I became fed up and that was when my dad bought me my first bicycle. Having my bicycle made me so happy that I couldn’t wait for Monday to arrive so that I could go show it to my friends in school. So Monday finally came and I rode the bicycle to school 😅 all my friends were happy and started making fun of me. So now whenever we close we will ride together to our various homes. They always got home before me because their house was a bit closer than mine.
Having my cycle made me so happy that I could go anywhere and everywhere I wanted without having to wait for anyone.
Well, it all came to an end when a thief broke into our house and stole the bicycle and the motorbike they used to drop me off when I wasn’t having a bike. It made me sad because I missed riding it and I had customized it to my liking. Having to ride or having them drop me off became difficult. I had to take a car to the town center and then to school going to school became difficult but my dad bought me another bicycle because the expense from the house to school and back was very costly.
I rode the second cycle my dad bought for me from my second year at the junior high till I completed my junior high education. My junior brother is currently the one riding the bicycle to school and I have handed it over to him.
One thing I like about bicycles is that with proper maintenance and care, they can be used for years and they would still look strong and clean.
