When you meet someone who's kind, generous and caring towards you, you'll absolutely fall in love with them. For real. 😂 How many times has someone developed a crush on you just because you were nice and caring to them without any hidden agenda? Or when was the last time you developed a crush on someone gentle, caring and kind towards you? For sure you also remember certain people because of their naturally loving nature.
But of course it's a different story when someone misinterprets the kindness, gentleness and care. When it starts to turn into envy, lust or impure thoughts and obsession/possession, it just makes everything "dirty". That's when it becomes complicated and messy. 😂 And we all know life is filled with such moments with the 7 Deadly Sins.

Last week, I spent several days in the hospital for a medical procedure. I didn't have any expectations whatsoever but I did pray for good results. And it did happen. Glory to God in the highest! 🙏♥️
I am so happy that even if I went to the charity/out-patient department (OPD) of a private hospital, it was so much better than a public one. Thank God the doctors are all so professional and did a great job! Even the medical clerks are superb in their service! 😆
Actually am so happy with my experience that I can recommend the hospital to everyone. Sadly I won't disclose it because of the nature of my story. Hahaha.
For several days I spent my time in the hospital waiting for my medical procedure and then the after care. And I enjoyed almost every minute of it! Whoa. I swear I never thought I'd enjoy my time as a patient in a hospital! 😆
Usually people who are sick hate being in a hospital but I absolutely enjoyed my stay! Haha. Of course there were moments of boredom but the patient food was alright. Good thing my family members brought electric fans and pickled veggies and other take out food. That of course added up to the comfortable hospital feeling.
Photo of part of the hospital ward I was in, showing another patient, a nurse and a companion. Photo filters added.
Is There Love in a Hospital?
Despite staying in a public ward, it was quite spacious and bright. Of course everything isn't perfect. There were flaws in my stay too. Like even if it's sleep time, nurses would be so lively in talking to one another. Well anyway I would get woken up during various hours for routine health checks so the noise level was just meh at that point. 😂
This was also when I learned to appreciate the medical clerks. They are 4th year medical students of the hospital's college. And of course I never expected such care from everyone, especially the first med clerk. Okay, I admit, it might be bordering on some Korean Drama romantic scenario already. 😂
I dunno but the guy probably developed a crush on me for some reason. Maybe is the word because I might just be "delusional" to think such thoughts. Haha. Come on, I didn't look my best at all so how could someone suddenly get "infatuated" at first sight? 😆 But read on to see what I mean.
But wait, before he came around, there was another guy clerk who checked my vitals. Told me he wasn't the one assigned to me but said person would be arriving later on as they just finished an exam.
It was late when he arrived. Let's call him MC (not his real initials). He introduced himself to me and my hospital companion and said he's my med clerk for the day. I believe it meant he was supposed to be on duty for 24 hrs?
Anyway, MC thought I was just around his age because of how I looked. Got surprised when he learned my age (patient tag and hospital records). Despite knowing I'm older than him, eventually several hours later it was like he was getting touchy feely that it reminded me of slight "skinship situations" in KDramas. 😂

Don't get me wrong, I never felt violated at all. Nothing inappropriate. He was doing his medical duties alright. Asking me questions and checking my vitals and all that. Actually the feeling was more on being cared for so much that somehow I was wondering if I was suddenly in a "romantic situation". 😆
I never said anything whenever he would gently hold my hand or put my hand on his arm for support. And his smiley eyes would look at me whenever he explained things. Good lord, haha. Like, who does that? It's like I began to have a crush on him because he was kind, gentle and always smiling at me. Oh my goodness.
Of course he wasn't extremely handsome or anything. He was constantly wearing a face mask (and I also did after the medical procedure) but he removed it one time so I saw his entire face. I also saw how he looked in a photo via his clerk ID. Looked okay and cute enough to me but not someone I would have a crush on at first sight.
Nevertheless, having him as med clerk made me look forward to his rounds every few hours. 🥰 Like seriously why wouldn't I enjoy my stay in the hospital when I had someone like that always checking on me? 😂 I so love being single. 😆 And MC seemed like a flirty single dude too with the way he does things.
But of course all good things must come to an end. It was time for him to endorse me to another med clerk. The next person was a bubbly girly girl. And when it was time for some needle insertion (IV) she called an "expert", a fellow med student. That person has a history of being able to do it quick and in one go. Well that was good enough for me and I appreciate her a lot for doing it.

Yes there was pain but at least it wasn't torturous at all. If she hadn't had the foresight to do that who knows what could have happened. Everyone knows that needle, vein/s, pain and mistakes aren't fun to mix. She wasn't very touchy feely but that one act alone made me like her a lot. ❤️
And then the third med clerk came around and wow I saw her wearing something I wouldn't have noticed before. It was a pretty rosary bracelet with quite pearly looking beads. Was happy to see it and said so. For sure she must be using it a lot (praying with it) since it's from her mom. Awww. ♥️
She wasn't touchy feely either but I still felt cared for. Especially when she said goodbye then told me who was the med clerk she would endorse me to. 😆
Thought I wouldn't be seeing him again. Well the sweet and caring MC told me, "Nice meeting you," after the end of his shift so I wasn't expecting to see him at all. I did miss him sometimes. Haha.
So of course I felt happy to learn I was gonna see him again for another day/night. Oh wow. Time with him was the only thing I looked forward to during my hospital stay. 😝
He was still touchy feely, gentle and so caring. However eventually things started to get to the slightly messy stage when emotions/actions started showing up. Oh boy. 😆 For example, how could I feel jealous when he was working and caring for another patient (an old man)?
At the very end of his shift, his service stopped being "perfect" or exceptional as I was used to. Not even any goodbyes, he just left at a distance with his usual smiling eyes! Too bad I don't have 20-20 vision. 😂 But hey, it was still fine. I had a great time just being under his watch. ♥️
I don't recommend getting sick and hospitalized but it felt like I went on a lovely vacation! Hahaha. Ah what an experience when hospital staff are caring and great at what they do.

Did I Experience a Miracle in the Hospital?
Of course as mentioned the doctors did an exceptional job from start to finish! God is so amazing in guiding every one of them in order to have the best medical procedure done on me. They almost said it's a miracle that everything went without a hitch at all! They all sounded so excited about the great result.
It would never have happened if I wasn't in a state of grace plus didn't do the Divine Mercy Sunday prayer routine. Only God can make things go without a hitch!
Of course doctors explained everything well, making sure to answer all our questions before and after the procedure. They would drop by and check on my status from time to time. Even the OPD dermatologist I previously went to spent time to chat when she saw me. Didn't even recognize her but heck she was really glad to see that my (unrelated) skin problem was almost gone. ❤️
Ah I just love my overall experience. This made me realize it really pays to be kind and caring to other people. Jesus did say we should love our neighbors (other people) too. Doesn't matter if things get "messy" eventually (it can easily be rectified with clear communication). When we show love for others by being kind and caring, it really goes a long way, especially for sick people. Now I understand it fully because I have experienced it firsthand.
How about you? Was there ever a time you enjoyed being sick in the hospital? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments. 😉
XOXO,
