Hello, and welcome to my blog! Today, I will share my experience attending a childhood friend's wedding. Weddings are beautiful events, especially when you know the couple and are surrounded by old friends. It was a wonderful day filled with joy and nostalgia.
The Groom
It was a Saturday morning, and I haven't had my haircut. I can't be looking rough this morning at the wedding so I went for a quick haircut.
After getting my haircut, I started getting ready for the wedding. My friend traveled from Abuja just to attend the event, and it was great having him stay at my place. Once we finished preparing, we headed to the wedding reception. Unfortunately, we couldn't attend the church service because he had to travel all night to reach my city and arrived the morning of the wedding.
We arrived at the reception to wait for the newlywed couples. While we were waiting, the servers started bringing food to all the guests who were seated. We had pounded yam, small chops, fried rice, jollof rice, and all sorts of drinks brought to our table.
After we finished eating the first round, the couples arrived and danced into the hall. It was a beautiful sight to behold. I was sitting far from where they ended up, which is why I couldn't get a good shot of the couples, but I took plenty of videos.
so sorry the image is like this ;(
It was an amazing time after the dance. We all went out to take pictures with the couples, and the sad part was that I was the one taking the picture with my phone, and no one was there to take a shot of me with the groom.
It was the perfect wedding. We both went home with lots of souvenirs, like a torchlight, towel, books, notebook, water bottle, and many more. It was an awesome day.
I got home that night; I couldn't eat again, so I just had a drink and went to bed after taking a good shower.
Thanks for reading.
