Hello guys, how are you all doing? Happy new month to you all.
I had a very long day today, a very very long one. I went home to my family's house 2 weeks ago, I took some time off work to go see my family, as the last time I saw them was a year ago, so it was necessary I go home. I returned just yesterday to resume work today.
So here's the thing, I had exhausted my cooking gas before I left, and instead of filling it up so I would have something to use when I returned, guess what, yours truly didn't fill it, but assured myself that I would get to fill it once I got back.
On getting back yesterday, I came in around 4 pm, and my room was dusty, so I had to do a thorough cleaning before I could go ahead to use anything. By the time I was done, I was exhausted and hungry, but lucky me my sister had packed me a small plate of soup to return with, initially, I didn't want to take it since I didn't have a means to heat it, but she insisted. So I took it. After I was done cleaning, I had to go to my neighbor to ask for cooking gas to warm the soup.
Today I decided to go fill up the gas. But there was an issue, I had to go to church and then fill it when I returned from church. I had a target of going immediately after church as I had planned to cook this evening. Upon getting to the gas station, they had closed, I saw a retail vendor across and decided to patronize them. I bought it and then went home.
On getting home, by the time I wanted to start cooking, I discovered that I had forgotten the burner of the cylinder at the place I filled it, and didn't have any spare at home. I was almost at the point of tears because by this time I was already hungry. I found a way to look for where to get something to eat as it was already late.
It felt like all of my struggles just went down the drain, although I learned something from this whole situation, you might be wondering what I learned, so here it comes, the littlest things in life matter a lot, imagine how I had filled the seemingly big cylinder, but just that little burner on top that wasn't available, and I couldn't do anything.
Also, I learned that every member of a team is important, as their absence may hinder the progress of the team.
It's Hive Power Up Day #HPUD today and I was able to power up 15 Hives, an improvement from the last time, I'm also participating in the Hive Power Up month, you too can join in, for more information, and you can check here, I moved from 275HP to 290HP which is an improvement from last month when I was at 255HP.
I intended to hit 500HP within two months, and I have like a little less than two weeks to achieve my target. If I get to it awesome, if I don't great, I won't beat up myself, at least I didn't do nothing, I'll just have to go back and look at areas I need more improvement with.
Thank you for stopping by🌹
