Good day ladies and gentlemen of this noble platform. Is has been very great reading wonderful posts on this community and it encourages me to share with you some of the activities that myself and my school people's went through and when we were celebrating our Education Week.
My school is a Presbyterian school and that a week from the 52 weeks is set aside to bring
both parents teachers and students and discuss the way forward for their pupils education, the growth and challenges that faces presbyterian schools all over the country.
This year's education week celebration was held last week and myself and the pupils went through a series of activities to celebrate the week. During the launch of the Education week myself and the school people together with the teachers went on a float to create an awareness that 2022 education week celebration has begun and that parents who matter in education should join us celebrate this week so that it becomes a success.
After the float we came back to our classrooms to continue our studies. In the evening we went to church to start delebration on the theme for this year's education week which was "You are the light of the world" the pastor in charge of Presbyterian church in my town to took us through that activity. On Tuesday too we went to church in the evening to continue our discussion on the team you are the light of the world.
On Wednesday we went for worship at the Calvary Presbyterian church and again the minister in charge was there to lead us. He also took us through some Bible quotations which talks about the theme you are the light of the world.
On Thursday we embarked on a general cleanup of our school and prepared our kids for the climax of the Education week for Sunday.
On Friday they were series of games for the pupils and to create the awareness again that 2022 education week celebration is still ongoing the pupills were taken through some local games like playing football playing volleyball oware which the people enjoy so much.
On Sunday the people wore their school attire to church to climax occasion. Pupils performed all the planned activities at the church. activities. Students who were selected to recite some Bible quotations also came out to recite the Bible quotes and they were applauded a lot of y the parents who joined us on that day.
A fundraising to buy some computers for the school was organised and a lot of people genuinely contributed towards fundraising and we realised some amount of money for the buying of the computers. After everything we said to ourselves that this year's education week celebration with the theme You Are The Light of the
World has been successfully celebrated and we gave up ourselves a thumbs up to ourselves and promised to maintain the standards set or improve it come next year.
