Today was was a very memorable day for me, when the time had come for me to leave the village, and as much as I tried to hide my feelings and emotions, I felt a weight pressing down on me, I’ve never been good at expressing emotions openly but inside, there was this feeling of sadness, and a strange sense of emotions.
But inasmuch that life is consign time will definitely come whereby we must leave behind the familiar and step into the unknown especially as a man. It is never easy but it is necessary, Change is constant, and no matter how much we long to hold on to the past, life always finds a way to push us forward. Leaving the village was one of those moments for me as I bid farewell to a place that had been my home, my comfort, and a part of my identity, but I have to summon courage because leaving the village is not just about missing my Loved ones and the natural environment, but it was about stepping into the future, embracing the opportunities that lay ahead.
My destination was clear, I was heading back to school, back to a world of lectures, assignments, and meeting people of different characters and identity.
