A wedding is an interesting event I usually love to witness, and this one deserves to be shared with you all 😍 Two days ago was a fun-filled day where I witnessed the wedding celebration of my very good friend. I do not have the best camera to give you photo of this event, but hopefully, you will like these ones I covered with my cell phone.
My humble self, the wedding guest
The bride has been my good friend since I found myself as a classroom teacher in 2018. The bride happened to be an old teacher at the school. What drew me closer to her was her warm welcome, her support, and her kindness towards me when I first started working at the school. She just liked my personality, and we kept getting along. I didn't spend much time at the school before I got a better job, but our friendship continued even when I left the school. I was excited to receive her wedding invitation, and I didn't hesitate to set my calendar for her big day.
She requested that I join her Asoebi group with this special uniform, as you can see below. Coincidentally, I have the color of lace she chose for the group to wear, and that alone removed the cost of sewing a new dress for her wedding. I love the way the uniform appeared so colorful on us. It sure made her day!
The D-day
Can you believe that I was the first person to arrive at her wedding venue? Oh my 😄, that was the extent to which I planned not to miss a single activity in the wedding. The church wedding was scheduled to start at 10a.m., but by 9:30 a.m, I was already seated and waiting for the bride, groom, and other invited guests. However, it didn't take long for them to arrive
I think the whole plan was quite simple but unique 👌No,that was not at big wedding, but I love how they made the event look so colourful and lively. Before 10a.m, many people arrived, and the church service began. The pastor made his preaching so snappy, but his words of admonitions to the new couple were quite interesting, and I believe that if they should abide by those words,it will guide them in their marital journey.
It was time for the exchange of vows. I could see the excitement in their faces, which was so lovely, and they were bold together while making the declarations.
They had their wedding rings fixed to each other's fingers, and the groom, with all excitement, was set to unveil the veil. Oh my, you needed to see the screaming from the audience.
The groom successfully did the unveiling and passionately hugged his bride, followed by a kiss. Pardon me, I am a bad photographer, I wasn't fast enough to capture that romantic moment. It was epic, and immediately, the whole environment, changed and everyone was in the dancing mood, especially the bride.
I love the idea of the live band they used; those singers made the environment so warm. I danced and danced and danced during the church wedding and during the reception. It was an exciting experience.
The cutting of the cake was another interesting session I witnessed. The couple was made to wish for the number of children they would like to have, including their preferred gender. It was fun to watch 😍🥳.
The moment they danced on the stage with some cool music was quite romantic 😂 At this point, I wished to redo my own wedding.
The couple made our day with some romantic dancing moves. We, the invited guests, couldn't help but watch in excitement.
Overall, it was a nice experience. We ate, drank, danced, and presented wedding gifts to the new couple. I gave them cash in an envelope as a token for their big day. Everyone who came received a survenier. I enjoyed every moment spent there; at one point, I couldn't help but flash through my wedding day eight years ago.
A fun-filled day is an understatement; however, I wish them blissful years ahead!🎊
Thanks for visiting my blog🤗.
Please note that all pictures were taken with my cell phone.
Until next time.
