Last night, when I was done with all the tasks I wrote down in my diary, I decided to go to sleep, but just before I did so, the thought of visiting one of my good friends who had a terrible fire accident clouded my mind. I had planned to visit the market today and get little things for myself as my birthday is approaching, but then I had to reschedule my plans to incorporate a second visit to my friend who has been in the hospital since January this year.
The fire accident was a very terrible one, and the hospital restricted access to visits in order to avoid infections on my friend until last month, when they started allowing visitors. Since January, I was able to visit her for the first time last month, and on seeing her terrible condition, I wept. She literally looks like a ghost now; she totally changed and looks so scary. I was crying on seeing what had befell my good friend, but again, I am happy she is alive after all. So today, I decided to visit her again just before I switched to my proposed shopping at the market. She has told me that she eats more fruits, especially with her present condition, so I stopped by to get some fresh fruits for my friend.
She was excited to behold my presence and didn't want me to leave any time soon. There has been lots of skin grafting done on her wound. She is recovering, but she might still spend more time in the hospital, according to her doctor, like a total of one year in the hospital. We took a pictures together, but her condition is too bad to upload here. I prayed for her and encouraged her to remain strong and positive about her recovery. Imagine leaving her two sons in the hospital since January this year. She was so emotional, telling me how much she misses her friends, kids, and family, and pleaded that I should keep coming from time to time if time permits.
I would have loved to spend more time with her, cheering her up, but I had some unfinished projects on the market, so I left. However, there was a heavy rainfall that really messed up with me.
While leaving the hospital to market, the rain was already falling gradually, but I was determined to continue with the plan. At the end of the day, the rain turned out to be something so heavy that it flooded the whole market.Considering the distance from my house to the market, I followed other people to swim in the water and continue shopping. It was a total mess, but I am not regretting visiting my friend first because, of course, I would have gotten things I wanted before the rain if not for the visit.
Overall, it was a fruitful day, even though it was kind of stressful for me, but I feel fulfilled visiting a sick friend and achieving my set-out plan in the market. I didn't fail to take a warm bath on getting home to feel refreshed, of course.
That's all about this day! How was your day? Productive? Did you achieve your daily plans or missed any?
