My favorite day is here again, Sunday a day to worship God , refresh and relax, a soft day for me. I woke up quite early today to the soft tunes of music playing in the background from a radio station. Afterward, I went about my usual morning chores. By 8 a.m., I realized I couldn’t afford to be late to church again, so I quickly rushed to the bathroom, took a shower, and went back to my room to dress up.
I had already planned to dress casually but still look smart for church, so I wasted no time. I opened my wardrobe, picked out a shirt and trousers, and got dressed in no time. I took a quick glance in the mirror to see how I looked, and I was satisfied. The young single man was good to go! I locked the door, stepped outside, and boarded a tricycle to church.
When I arrived at church, I was filled with joy to see my brothers and sisters again after a long week. After the general prayers, a sound check was conducted, and the service began. It was an amazing experience! You could see people expressing their joy through dancing and shouts of praise. The sermon was titled "What a Promise," with the text taken from Joshua 1:8. The message was both touching and insightful, leaving a lasting impression. After the sermon, the grace was shared, marking the end of the service.
For me, a great Sunday isn’t complete without some nice photos, so I took a few cool shots before heading home. Check them out below!
Later in the day, I had to attend my friend's marriage planning committee, it was a nice time being among friends to plan for a marriage. That part of the day was successful as we rounded it up with some bottles of fresh palm wine. As the day turned to evening and it started getting dark, I decided to wrap up the day the usual way. You know how my Sundays normally end, just a little sit-out, enjoying the cool music in the background.
As tradition demands, My Sundays always end with a relaxing sit-out accompanied by soft music, and today was no different. I walked into one of my usual spots, where a live band was already playing cool gospel music. The evening went smoothly, and after enjoying a little bottle of refreshment, it was time to head back home and prepare for the week ahead.
As a teacher, I dedicate one day to unwind from the week’s stress and mentally prepare for the coming week, and that day is usually Sunday. It has become a tradition for me and one of my key stress management strategies.
