So, yesterday was the end of the extra lessons I volunteered to take the kids some months ago. The weekend came and I was excited that the lesson for the year would be ending, so I informed the kids about it so they don't start thinking they would continue to come around. When I told them, they were happy about it and at the same time, felt sad but I assured them we would continue next year if I return back from my travelling.
One of the kids asked if I was sure I would come back next year because they knew I only came to the town for my service and since I was done, they'd assumed once I go, that's the end. But I told them since I wouldn't be packing my stuff now, I sure would be coming back.
As they left around 12 pm of which I only did revision with them since they were writing their first term examination and also played some children's fun video from my laptop for them, which they got excited about it, I thought of making sweet potato porridge as I already bought potatoes the previous day.
I love potatoes so much and aside from frying with egg sauce, this is another way I love my sweet potatoes. I ate it and immediately went to sleep. Hahaha. Someone said it's because I eat comfortably, that's the reason I sleep immediately after eating but is that even true? Not when I have loads of work piled up for me to attend to, and if I do not have a choice but to get on those tasks, I take a walk around my room trying to send away sleep or if I am in the mood, I resort to taking a soft shower to clear the sleep away from my eyes.
The weekend was amazing. Earlier in the day, I had put a call through my personal hairstylist that I would be coming over to make my hair for my trip home but I ended up not going because I had a busy day and was choked with activities, especially cleaning my room and arranging things to their rightful place as I love to keep things in order whenever I need to travel. I decided to shift my appointment to Sunday.
Sunday came. It's the start of a new month - December, the 12th and last month of the year 2024. Isn't it amazing how God has been so faithful? He has been reliable from the first month of the year till the twelfth month and I am super grateful, because yes, I will be seeing the end of the month by God's grace.
I danced so much in church and the service went well. After the service and greeting those I needed to greet, I rushed home to get prepared for my hair appointment. Luckily my home is just opposite the church and I only needed to cross to the other side of the road and boom, I am in the building.
I got this zobo drink as a gift from my neighbour
My potato porridge from yesterday was still remaining, so, I warmed it and ate together with the zobo drink. Then I went quickly to the hair salon as I had envisaged the hair would take more than 3 hours since it's a ghana weaving style I would be making. At least it's a big one enough for me to lose without stress because the truth is, I hate to sit down to make tiny hairstyles. I suck at losing such hair.
This post was drafted yesterday and just needed to do some editing and add pictures. Had it been I didn't do this, I might not be making any post today as I already knew I would be tired after returning from the salon.
Happy New Month, Hivians. I wish us a great month.
