Hay muchas cosas que se viven como estudiante de una universidad pública, unas malas, unas buenas y otras algo ¿graciosas? creo que así voy a categorizar la siguiente experiencia que les contaré jaja.

There are many things you experience as a student at a public university, some bad, some good, and some funny. I think that's how I'm going to categorize the next experience I'll tell you haha.
Verán, apenas estoy en mi tercer semestre de Ing. de Alimentos y estoy conociendo cada vez más cómo son las cosas en esta universidad y algo que no falta en cada semestre es algo llamado Participación universitaria, donde hay que hacer algo por la universidad y esto lo planeará cada profesor en su materia o sino, la coordinadora decide en qué podemos aportar para el beneficio de todos, tiene una ponderación, por supuesto.
En el caso de Cálculo II (de las peores materias de mi carrera si me lo preguntan) nuestro profesor decidió que era buena idea hacer que pintáramos el portón principal de la institución🙃.
You see, I am just in my third semester of Food Engineering and I am getting to know more and more about how things are at this university something that is not missing in each semester is something called University Participation, where you have to do something for the university and this will be planned by each professor in his subject or else, the coordinator decides what we can contribute for the benefit of all, it has a weighting, of course.
In the case of Calculus II (one of the worst subjects of my career if you ask me) our professor decided that it was a good idea to have us paint the main gate of the institution🙃.

Así que sip, ahí estábamos, los estudiantes de ingeniería un martes por la tarde, dándolo todo por esos puntos extra, pues a algunos nos hacían falta jaja😂.
La verdad, este profesor tiene una forma de evaluar que nos pone a todos en modo misterio y ansiedad, pues es alguien que no te entrega nada de notas sino hasta finales de semestre, de hecho, aún no sé mi nota final y estoy esperando. Entonces, como nos hace dudar, claramente vamos a participar en todo lo que nos diga, porque uno nunca sabe y mejor prevenir que lamentar🙏🏽.
So yep, there we were, engineering students on a Tuesday afternoon, giving it our all for those extra points, as some of us were lacking haha😂.
The truth is, this professor has a way of evaluating that puts us all in mystery and anxiety mode, because he is someone who doesn't give you any grades until the end of the semester, in fact, I still don't know my final grade and I'm waiting for it. So, as it makes us doubt, clearly we are going to participate in everything he tells us because you never know, and better safe than sorry🙏🏽.
Debo decir que fue muy cómico ver a mis compañeros pintando, nos tomaron muchas fotos y lo más gracioso de todo, fue que al estar en el portón principal, pasaban los autobuses por la parada de la universidad y nos gritaban cosas como "Vamos vamos, todo por esa nota, trabajen y nosotros con vergüenza pero riéndonos😂.
I must say that it was very funny to see my classmates painting, they took many pictures of us and the funniest thing of all, was that when we were at the main gate, the buses passed by the university bus stop and shouted things like "Come on come on, all for that grade, work and we were embarrassed but laughing😂.

Creo que la peor parte fue que había clima de lluvia y en varias ocasiones llovió y tuvimos que meternos todos a un salón y luego, seguir pintando😭.
I think the worst part was that there was rainy weather and on several occasions, it rained and we all had to get into a room and then continue painting😭.

¿Qué puedo decirles? La vida universitaria en un país inestable y en una universidad pública es toda una travesía, si no es chiste, es anécdota🤷🏽♀️.
Y ustedes, ¿Alguna vez hicieron algo similar?
What can I tell you? University life in an unstable country and a public university is quite a journey, if that's not a joke, it's an anecdote🤷🏽♀️.
