We then went to fill up with fuel, taking advantage of the fact that there was hardly any queue, as the petrol issue has become a bit controversial these days, and up to half a day is wasted in order to fill up the car.
Después pasamos a colocar combustible aprovechando que no había apenas cola, ya que el tema gasolina se ha puesto un poco polémico en estos tiempos, y se pierde hasta medio día para poder surtir el auto.
When we finished we went in search of our son who was waiting for us in the "Los Robles" square, which was the closest and safest meeting point to meet us. When we arrived, I was captivated by so much natural beauty.
Al terminar fuimos en busca de nuestro hijo que nos esperaba en la plaza de “Los Robles” que era el punto de encuentro más cercano y seguro, para encontrarnos. Al llegar, quedé cautivada ante tanta belleza natural.
This natural corner is not only a public space, but also a silent witness to the events that have marked the lives of those who visit it and enjoy its cool areas.
Este rincón natural no solo es un espacio público, sino también un testigo silencioso de los acontecimientos que han marcado la vida de quienes lo visitan y disfrutan de sus frescas áreas.
The majesty of the oak trees is the hallmark of this square. A few years ago, local residents joined in an intense protest to preserve this place. The reason was clear: they wanted to alter the square area to extend it, but the community strongly objected. After all, this square is home to some of the oldest oak trees in the region. A passion for conservation prevailed, and as a result, none of these century-old trees were felled.

But "Los Robles" is not just a square; it is a duality that reveals itself as you walk along Libertad Street. On the one hand, we find "Bolívar" square, with the imposing statue of the liberator. On the other hand, the "Los Robles" square shares its name with the trees that surround it. Both squares are jealously looked after by the locals, who strive to maintain their splendour, beauty and tranquillity.
Pero "Los Robles" no es solo una plaza; es una dualidad que se revela al caminar por la calle Libertad. Por un lado, encontramos la plaza "Bolívar", con la imponente estatua del libertador. Por otro lado, la plaza "Los Robles" comparte su nombre con los árboles que la rodean. Ambas plazas están celosamente cuidadas por los lugareños, quienes se esfuerzan por mantener su esplendor, belleza y tranquilidad.
The shade of the oak trees is a balm on hot days, and everyone knows it, particularly the locals who bring their children to spend the afternoon and enjoy its splendid coolness.
As my son and I walk along Libertad Street, we can see beautiful drawings on the ground, made of flagstones and cement, which tell us silent stories of this unique street.
La sombra de los robles es un bálsamo en los días calurosos, y todos lo saben, en particular los lugareños que traen a sus hijos a pasar la tarde y disfrutar de su espléndida frescura .
Mientras recorremos mi hijo y yo la calle Libertad, podemos apreciar hermosos dibujos en el suelo, hechos con losas y cemento, que nos cuentan historias silenciosas de esta singular calle.
And at the beginning of the street, a large shell houses a luminous fountain with a sculpture of a naked woman inside. The locals call her "The Mother of Pearl", and her presence adds a magical touch to the surroundings, particularly the squares.
Y al inicio de la calle, una gran concha grande, alberga una fuente luminosa con la escultura de una mujer desnuda en su interior. Los lugareños la llaman "La madre perla", y su presencia añade un toque mágico al entorno, en particular a las plazas.
On my walk through this unique street and square, I was amazed by the beauty and the connection to nature.
