Hello everyone, Good day to you all. I am a newbie here and am super excited to be a part of this wonderful hive community. Thank you for creating this wonderful opportunity for me to learn, share my experiences, and to also express myself here on hive.

ABOUT ME

My name is Utibeabasi Emmanuel. I'm glad that no one else has the name @utibeabasi on Hive. UtibeAbasi is a vernacular name that means “Miraculous God”. My Grandmother calls me this name often and I do feel happy whenever she calls me UtibeAbasi.

I am a young, smart, brown-skinned African girl who is from Nigeria, Akwa Ibom State to be precise. I love the fact that I am a Nigerian and an African. I am not very tall and not very short but I love every bit of who I am and I love the fact that I am growing every day to become the best version of myself. Most importantly, I am a Christian not just a random one but a Child of God, that's my identity.

I am the first child of my parents with four siblings. As the first child, I have grown to realize that I am a pacesetter to my siblings and with this knowledge I learned to be responsible and very careful of the things I do. I love my family. I love spending time with my siblings because they are fun and I love every moment I spend with them.

MY FUTURE

My Profile picture is the photograph I took during my Matriculation exercise at the university in my state as a Medical Student. This is a dream of many years come true, both for me and my family. I'm glad that I have started the journey to becoming who I've always wanted to be. I've always wanted to be a Medical Doctor.

The goal is to save lives. Being from a humble background, I've seen many people lose their lives because their families could not afford medical services. My heart goes out to those families and I hope when I complete my studies, I can set up a foundation that will offer free medical services to indigent citizens.

LEARNING AND GROWING

Life means continuous learning. However, I love it when we can learn with fun. I have done so many things trying to figure out what I love and enjoy doing.

Reading is one of the things I love to do. Thought-provoking books like No Excuses by Brian Tracy, Gifted Hands by Dr. Ben Carson, You Can Win by Norman Vincent Peale, etc are my best picks. I've learned so much from these books. In my next post, I will share some of the lessons.

Cooking is also one of the things I enjoy doing at home. A woman who doesn't know how to cook well could be seen as a misfit in my culture. I do not just do it for responsibility's sake, I enjoy doing it. I won't say I can cook everything but I'm good at the ones I can. My mum is a great cook and of course she taught me well. I do all the cooking at home even our native delicacies. There are very delicious delicacies though some require a whole lot of time to be prepared.

Music is another thing I love to do. I sing and enjoy listening to music, music is my ever-present companion. I listen to music while reading when I take a walk, and even before sleeping. I do not listen to the rhythm alone but every single line and words of the lyrics make sense to me and help me feel better. Tatiana Manaois and Victoria Orenze are my favorite artists. I was taught that listening to music releases a hormone called Dopamine which makes us feel happy and better. Music has extremely good health effects. I am glad to hear about Vibes Web3 music competition on Hive and that is one of the reasons I am here.

Traveling to see new places is another thing I love, however, I am limited due to related expenses. I've traveled to some places though I'm still revolving around Nigeria but with time I'll get to travel to different countries and continents across the globe. One of the things that make traveling fun is that I get to learn new things - culture, technology, languages, concepts, and traditions.

I also love watching K-drama. I like how they Make me feel. K-drama taps into people's emotions and I do cry most times I watch it. They have great storylines. K-dramas like: Destined with You and My Demon etc. Reminds me of our humanity. I also learned a lot about their culture.

MY NEW WORLD - HIVE

I've had great friends who are already here and I hear a lot about this platform. It's better I also tasted of its delicacies. Hive is a new world for me and I know there is much to learn. Please be patient with me as I learn and I'll get better.

I'm told I can socialize, play games, express my creativity and crafts, meet friends, and lots more on this platform. I'm ready for all of that. Earning crypto for doing all of that is something I'm yet to experience but I'm told it's possible here.
