Of course, I had the intention to earn some rewards with my talent but wanted to go through YouTube and the likes. My onboarder, however, insisted that Hive was going to give me the better audience and reward that I desired, and I am glad today that I needed her advice. So, in my onboarder's little way, she had just helped me put my talents on the right track. She wasn't just going to harvest anyone to join Hive, but seeing the potential impact I could have on the blockchain, she extended that hand of invitation. My rewards weren't much, but I was glad my passion was being satiated as well as meeting interesting and formidable friends that I remain grateful to Hive for meeting.
I thought I was good at creative writing; however, coming to Hive made me realize I needed some improvements and polishing. This was where I appreciated the works of other authors and credited their inspirations and intelligence. My desire to impact humanity made me buckle down on my loose ends and consciously made efforts to improve. I would be biased and perhaps miss out on some people if I began to mention names of Hivers that have inspired my writing skills. Of particular note is the #inkwell community. There were times I felt targeted only to realize and appreciate the corrections made. In fact, I was able to groom others in fiction and nonfiction writing afterwards. Hive provided me the opportunity and platform to improve my writing skills.
I wouldn't say navigating the blockchain is difficult, but it needs a guide, especially when newly onboarded. The teaching strategy of each Hiver varies, and also, the adaptability of the learner could also influence the rate of comprehension.
Many people shy away from onboarding others because of the mistakes newbies make, such as spamming or plagiarism. I learned to be patient and tolerant of many newbies when questions are asked repeatedly or mistakes are made. A good number of those I onboarded have stayed, while some never saw the light beyond a post or two.
Engagement with other Hivers equally taught me to be meek, polite, and respectful. Importantly, Hive taught me to engage in constructive dialogues, especially when lines of thought differ. These modules helped me to live peaceably with authors I met on Hive.
Word of mouth is like a raging wildfire. Hive has united like-minded authors ranging from similar to diverse perspectives.
Through the Hive blockchain, the bonds of friendship have been facilitated, and like the good news it is, we are excited to share the goodness of Hive with our off-chain friendship, hoping they could also come on board and enjoy the sweetness of the blockchain.
Navigating Hive exposes one to a variety of awesome communities that can serve both as a niche and also as an inspiration to participate in their activities. Hive seems to harmonize in diversity various communities that enrich the whole of humanity.
My little time spent on Hive has exposed me to good deeds carried out off the blockchain, such as the drilling of boreholes to communities from rewards or even the donations and votes when genuine sick relatives or friends are brought to the platform.
The testimony of the impacts of Hive on lives both on and off-chain remains my most admirable feature of the Hive blockchain. I remember gifting some lower cadres of my workplace financial tokens in sequel to my rewards on Hive posts. It was gladdening to put smiles on the faces of others.
With web3 decentralization, autonomy, and transparency, Hive models a formidable blockchain that integrates real-world assets of time, knowledge, and experience into cryptocurrency, seeing that users are easily drawn into the crypto space experiences. Hive continues to receive adoption globally, connecting different cultures and peoples, promoting bonds, and breaking barriers.
